If this was a Boxing contest the Ref would have stopped it by now, red cards always ruin matches.
They need to change the red card rule. If a player is sent off, should be replaced by a sub to keep 11 on the pitch at all times, unless they've used all 5 subs. Who want to see a procession after 20 minutes. Broadcasters, sponsors, advertisers, fans don't want to see it. Dated, archaic rule. |

Player sent off, sub comes on for him. Seems straight forward to me.
Of course someone should have come on for Suarez, Ghana already rewarded with a penalty, Suarez already punished with a red and a ban, Uruguay weakened with lesser quality in the pitch. |

I surprised the big time sponsors and broadcasters have never lent of FIFA to make that red card rule.
You'd want as many people watching the game as possible, it's what you're paying the big bucks for. Untold casuals, neutrals and in this case, Qatari's, switching off in droves and it's not a contest anymore. It will happen at some point in time, but visionaries such as myself are often ahead of time. |

Down to 10 men Best player Pires subbed off for Almunia. Had to play for 80 minus with 10 men. Lemon banned for future CL games. All that punishment for a rush of blood to the head. It's when I first thought the rule was outdated. |

That's the other thing.
Look at this game now - it's 5 nil. The goal difference can massively affect final position in the 4 team table. And of course, who you play next. It's not fair on Switzerland or Bosnia either. |

No team should be reduced from 11 men.
If someone commits a horror straight red then the other team gets a penalty But a sub comes on for the sent off player |

Yes but no one want s to go to games with fouls all the time we want goals people fouling stop goals ,,so if you allow five players to get yellows you can take them all off and replace them to do another five yellows .

I'm not sure that a "visionary" should be spending his time on an anonymous betting forum, opining on a one sided match between the teams ranked 30th and 56th in the world.
Especially when they are coming out with BS like you should be able to bring on a sub when a player is sent off . More like hallucinatory than visionary |

You can't have a rule whereby teams are encouraged to commit tactical sendings off, you wait until a player catches one on the line and see what happens...crazy IMO.
Guy racing clear on goal and you drag him down before he gets to the penalty area and it's a free kick, you'll never get the rule changed to make it a penalty, and a replacement player for the guy sent off!!! I'm out on that. |
