Brazil are 1.72 to win this match, looking at that projected starting XI, they are an elite Champions League level team of the level that would be one of the favourites to win the comp, not the favourites, but one of them. Morocco are also a CL level side but one that would not be good enough to make the top 8 to qualify automatically from the group stage, instead they'd have to rely on a February play off game, even then not guaranteed to win.

Therefore, on that basis, this feels like a 2-0 sort of win for Brazil, or at least a two goal margin sort of game in Brazil's favour.

Kind Regards.

England haven't beat a top heavyweight nation in the knockout stages of a World Cup since 1966 so I'd be amazed if pre-tournament we were ever faves over those 3.

Just read a link from 2002, that said England only became 2nd faves for the tournament after they reached the quarters beating Denmark, they couldn't have been faves beforehand, they were ranked 12th in the world at time as well

If anyone is wondering when the first 0-0 of the tournament will come, look no further than Ivory Coast v Ecuador, Ivory coast qualified without conceding a single goal, Ecuador qualified conceding just 5 goals in 18 matches, scoring less than a goal a game. Ivory coast did score 25 but mostly against micky mouse nations.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2002/may/25/worldcupfootball2002.sport8

this link says France were faves at 3/1, which makes sense considering they had just won the World Cup, Euros and Confederations cup, as well as being ranked 1st, Argie's were also 5/1

If you saw England as faves, must have been some kind of boosted odds specials surely.

Think it's because some of the Moroccan players are coming into this game as fresh as daisy's considering the likes of Diaz rarely played full games for Madrid last season, Mazraoui got minimal game time and Hakimi missed half the French season. The Brazilian players are all coming from more mentally and physically taxing seasons, should still win though.

How has a country like Brazil with nearly 300 million people, not been able to find not only a World Class number 9 to lead the line, but a whole collection of them.

Last few World Cups they've had mediocre strikers such as Richarlison, Jesus, Luis Fabiano, Baptiste, Thiago and the worst of them all, Fred, who must have won a National Competition somewhere for that spot.

How on earth did Ancelotti end up at Everton for a season?. Kind of like seeing Al Pacino on Coronation Street. That was a weird timeline.

Timing Sofa - EFC had just sacked Silva at the same time Napoli did the same to Carlo. He was happy to come back to the EPL and signed a 4 and a half year deal.
He stayed for 18 months and by all accounts was quite happy there, but it was feared that if the Madrid job came up again he would be tempted and hey presto Zidane walked at the end of the 20/21 season and that was that.

Al Pacino would probably fit right in with some of the risible storylines at Corrie these days, Weatherfield has turned in to the crime capital of the north Crazy.
