If we are to progress from  the group stages there are too many scenarios to go through but the most likely being finishing third and then playing either France,Germany or Mexico ( who are all favs to win theirs ).

Not just the Scots, other fans as well, staff members and a referee now being denied after first being approved. If this is a sign of things to come the competition could be a bit of a shambles, I think weather stoppages are going to quiet common place with taking several hours to complete.

maybe better waiting for the first couple of games to see how the refereeing goes plus the stoppages, maybe a world record length of stoppage time. cheers.

A wee scare for Scotland with McTominay missing training with a stomach bug, but he seems he is back with the squad now.No McTominay, no party.

It's a safe bet that, I'd be surprised if Scotland kept a clean sheet here, both teams going to want 3 points and that could mean goals. I would not back Scotland @ 1.57 ( Exchange ), Haiti probably going to be more competitive than most people think, their country is in turmoil and the players will be super motivated to give them something to cheer about, could be a few cards being flashed around given the importance of the win for both teams. Kicks of at 9PM local time but temps going to be about 30'C inside stadium, that'll benefit the Haitians for sure.

A wee bet builder for me : BTTS, Over 2.5 goals and over 3.5 cards @ 5.5 on 365.

Not a convincing win for us, a 1-1 would not have been unjust, but we got the 3 points and we top the group, but if we play like that again, I don't see us getting anything from the next 2 games. With the talent we have Steve Clarke should be getting a better tune out of them, he very much gets the rub of the green IMO.

A draw tonight would be the best we can get I should think. Clarke will have us set up to defend, defend, defend, could take Morocco time to break us down, might be worth waiting till second half to back some goals. 2-0, 2-1 to Morocco would be my guess. Morocco to score 2 goals @ 2.06 on the exchange is my bet, they won't want to leave it until the last game to qualify.

Another dreich performance from Scotland down to Clarke's negativity, why the SFA gave him a new contract before this competition even started is beyond me, don't see us getting anything from Brazil, it will be a bit embarrassing for the World Cup competition if Scotland progress to the next round because of a 1-0 win against Haiti Blush

It would have been a bit mean, but they should have dumped Clarke once they'd qualified.

He is handling this tournament the same as Euro 2024. Probably play for 0-1 vs Brazil ,lose 0-2 and find it's not enough to get through.

What do you suggest he does badjoe with limited squad he has, central defenders who can’t pass or defend, no technically gifted midfielder who can receive and build the game, a dumpling
Like shankland to start or appear to save game.
If you want to crtisize please give solutions

Joe I’m honestly interested in your thoughts on how SC can do better with the players available against the opposition and environment they are playing.
I’ve read the rubbish in Scotland daily record and sun, people who never kicked a ball in their live or managed team in their live in professional football never mind International tournaments, not having a go here btw, but interested in you’re thoughts.
I will give you mine, keep together, work hard, bring the wee man on last 30 and take the chances if we get them.
Obviously don’t get sent off because we have already been unlucky with referee decisions and don’t invite the press get it forward and we press them but be careful they don’t break it or we are in trouble.

Scotland played some long balls with 2 or 3 guys up there to compete for it in the last 10 minutes.

Looked like they might make something happen.

Why wait until you've been behind for 75 minutes before trying that?

Scotland are surely not as bad as Clarke thinks they are.

Looking at other results ,that Algeria winner was very bad for Scotland.I think they might get squeezed out and finish around 9th best of the third place teams ,would be so typical for Scotland.Unless of course they get a result against Brazil, but will have to play a lot better than they have so far.

He never has doubted his players, in fact he believes his team should have had 2 penalties and Morroco should have man ordered off which denied his players a point or win.
However he also had read form book and knew Morroco were difficult opponents and to be wary of their threats, Not tactical genius we all knew that.
Clarke comes across as dour but he’s maybe not like that with his squad internally.

Maybe people would prefer 1978 manager

At least we had a feel-good factor with Ally
..maybe misguided and short lived...this team has no chance against Brazil for a few reasons..Hanley,Adams,Dykes,Shankland for a start

Just hoping to be awarded a soft penalty is not believing in his team.

Agreed lead on the 74 and 78 squads had far more quality than they have here, definitely underachieved but current squad, management team need to get on with it.

I always got the impression that Steve Clarke didn't really fancy Shankland in the team...just gave in to the constant calls from some fans and some elements of the press and picked him..Clarke would go up in my estimation if he just stuck to that guy feeling tonight..would quite like to see Ross Stewart getting a chance..I'm probably a bit biased having seen him play for Ross County one the few occasions they could keep him fit..fully prepared here for another glorious failure, armed with a bottle of Johnnie Walker..
