Celtic attacker forces the Motherwell defenders hand up in front of his head, before he is just about to head it cleanly.

Very, very harsh
Report TameTheTiger May 13, 2026 10:02 PM BST
he must have a hand of iron to fist the ball away like that. Hearts have been robbed
Report penzance May 13, 2026 10:04 PM BST
Celtic had to win 3-0 at least, they need just a win now.
Report TameTheTiger May 13, 2026 10:09 PM BST
yep, massive difference in whats now required
Report TameTheTiger May 13, 2026 10:10 PM BST
i initially thought they were looking at an elbow to the head. never considered a possible handball as he clearly headed it away
Report penzance May 13, 2026 10:12 PM BST
Everyone was, don't think they appealed for the handball.
They dug that out.
Report Shrewd_dude May 13, 2026 10:12 PM BST
Made Roberto Duran look feather fisted if he hit that with his hand.

another example of VAR siding with the bigger club.
Report rothko May 14, 2026 7:18 PM BST
a terrible use of VAR
never clear and obvious - its been shown a few times and its still cant be cleared up and its certainly not an obvious hand ball

You just need to see the direction the ball went as he headed it and the lack of appeal from the Celtic players

Unfortunately it’s the usual old firm bias, never a penalty

It’s what hearts boss McInnis spoke about when he said after viewing it, that they are all against us.

Only 2 teams are allowed to win the league in Scotland, because two teams run the league in Scotland.

As an Aberdeen fan, we have been used to the old firm bias for so many years, everything given to them, but with hearts run this year, and more focus on the league I thought it was telling to see the likes of Jeff stelling, chappers, linekar etc commenting on how bent it is- welcome to Scottish football gents, it’s all **** in favour of the bigot brothers. And always has been.

What was the guy doing with his hand next to his head anyway?

Everyone keeps saying it must have been his head that made contact as look how far the ball wentLaugh

Of course it was his head that made most of the contact, that doesn't mean his hand didn't touch it, he also made contact with the Celtic player who ended up on the floor.

You deserve to be punished if you're in your own box, in the 99th minute, raising your hand as the ball comes flying in from a long through, his whole hand was literally above his head. Can't blame the ref. Motherwell have nothing to complain about, if I were the manager, I'd be more angry with the player and would probably fine him, everything else is just deflection.

that doesn't mean his hand didn't touch it,

That appears to be the John Beaton view. His hand might have touched the baw so its a clear and obvious error. Obviously.
