Arsenal beast them 4:0 earlier in the CL league stage. I think this might be a horrible game for Arsenal fans to watch. Atletico Madrid 3.0 to qualify quite a big price considering Arsenal have quite a few players out and it wouldn't surprise me if Arsenal lose this first leg.

I've little betting confidence in this match. Atleti not the force of old, even on home turf, and Arsenal clearly not as confident or as impenetrable as previous months. All that is certain is we're not getting the attacking filth we got last night. BTS is the only bet that could possibly draw me in as I believe the unders have been pressed a bit too much.

I think they might be right this time though. 1-1 would be my guess too.

I think Arsenal will lose this leg. They've managed to lose 4 of last six matches.

Arse will desperately try to not concede and will depend on set pieces to nick a goal. Atletico have been a bit more adventurous in recent years but I'm definitely not expecting a classic here. 1-0 FT is my pick.

Arsenal done by two wrong VAR decisions tonight. The 2nd Arsenal pen was not a clear and obvious error by the ref, Eza got the ball first and defender stood on his foot. Never understood the argument about minimal contact. If there’s contact then it’s a foul and if it’s a foul then it’s a penalty. VAR should not have got involved in that situation. Once the ref was sent to the screen it was obvious he would buckle with Simeone's antics nearby.

After Tuesday's game last night was shocking. How Arsenal fans can watch that cr4p week after week is beyond me.

Reasonable result for Arsenal, good match to watch, plenty of action.

what a terrible use of VAR - once its given on the pitch (the ref had a clear view) its not VARs role to overturn it

I thought it was a soft pen thats usually given in Europe - it usually helps the defenders case if he makes contact with the ball

I honestly do not see any point when they send the referee to the screen, I have only read about 1 time the referee stuck to his original decision, what is it 000000.1 % chance, they may as well let VAR overturn it.

VAR's role is not an alternative subjective view of the foul, it is to deal with clear and obvious error by the ref. In this case the ref got it right. It might have been minimal contact, but there was a foul on Eze who played the ball first before the defender made contact with Eze's foot and fouled him. Very hard to understand how the VAR official doesn't know the protocol he has to follow. Simeone's antics whilst the ref reviewed it 13 times was disgraceful and the reason he buckled.

Siminoe had nothing to do with the Ref buckling. Refs always follow VAR advice

Yeah, all I care about is not wanting to see pens given for that type of nothingness so any one that gets overturned is ok in my book.

Don't disagree with that. It will get to the point where the ref is just the middleman to relay all decisions to the players from the VAR booth.

Also think all reviews should be in real time, football is not played in slo-mo, frame by frame.

I'm a bit surprised there wasn't more talk about Bayern's pen against PSG, tbh. Looked to me that Diaz fouled Pacho, not the other way round. Although the PSG pen was also a bit dodgy. I'm not sure who will go through now. Bayern will be happy at getting it back to 5-4 from 5-2. So, PSG might be thinking they let it slip to some extent. Looking forward to the 2nd leg.
