Arsenal beast them 4:0 earlier in the CL league stage. I think this might be a horrible game for Arsenal fans to watch. Atletico Madrid 3.0 to qualify quite a big price considering Arsenal have quite a few players out and it wouldn't surprise me if Arsenal lose this first leg.

Good luck Arsenal, does look potentially a tad low scoring

"An ideological clash as much as a footballing one, Atlético Madrid against Arsenal brings together two sides chasing the same elusive prize, yet arriving via very different paths.

Atlético’s journey has been defined by chaos and attacking explosiveness. Their 34 goals mark a club-record European campaign, and their quarter-final with Barcelona swung wildly before eventually settling in their favour. Arsenal’s route, by contrast, has been built on control and restraint, conceding just five goals all competition and edging past Sporting CP in a tie that barely opened up.

There is recent history too. Arsenal’s emphatic 4-0 victory in the league phase still lingers, yet the Metropolitano offers a different landscape entirely. Atlético have never lost a Champions League knockout match at home to English opposition, a record that reflects the suffocating intensity of Simeone’s environment.

This is, in essence, the classic question: can Arsenal’s defensive structure withstand Atlético’s relentless attacking surges, or will the Spanish side finally meet a system capable of neutralising their chaos?"

WhoScored Prediction: 1-1

"First legs in the latter stages of a tournament can often be cagey affairs and a low-scoring contest could be in store on Wednesday, as both sides may prioritise defensive stability to ensure they remain firmly in the tie for the return leg in London.

Arsenal’s emphatic four-goal triumph over Atletico in the league phase will bolster their confidence heading to Madrid, but we are backing the hosts to breach the stubborn Gunners backline on this occasion and come away with at least a share of the spoils."

SportsMole Prediction: 1-1

I've little betting confidence in this match. Atleti not the force of old, even on home turf, and Arsenal clearly not as confident or as impenetrable as previous months. All that is certain is we're not getting the attacking filth we got last night. BTS is the only bet that could possibly draw me in as I believe the unders have been pressed a bit too much.

that's 2 nights in a row Sportsmole have predicted a scoreline other than 2-1. Laugh Must be a record!
I think they might be right this time though. 1-1 would be my guess too.

I think Arsenal will lose this leg. They've managed to lose 4 of last six matches.

Arse will desperately try to not concede and will depend on set pieces to nick a goal. Atletico have been a bit more adventurous in recent years but I'm definitely not expecting a classic here. 1-0 FT is my pick.

After getting beat by arsenal you would have thought they would move faster and try and score

Hard to believe that one of these teams will be Champions league finalists. PSG v Bayern should be the final. Cool

I'd have given a pen for the gabriel one, accidental or not he's stopping a shot on target and in that instance a likely goal.
