you,ll pay a lot of money do a lot of miles trying to find one team with 4 worse fullbacks on the pitch in 90 mins in one game than kerkez, frimpong,Gomez and sloz, the loony shearer couldn't understand why frimpong was subbed at half time after he,d just played like an over 35 sun morning pub player still full of saturday night,s curry for 45 mins

I wonder about the Bundesliga. I was always a big fan of Edwards (after all his record is second to none) and follow a lot of the stats nerds and they all said Liverpool made great business in the summer. Similarly, they're talking up the likes of Diomande, Stiller and Kofane as huge signings for this summer.
But you have to look at Liverpool and wonder if - Bayern aside - the Bundesliga is actually a pretty rancid league, where average players stand out, soon to be found out. Frimpong is neither a full back or a winger. Spends more time adjusting his barnet than contributing. I'd beat Wirtz in a foot race. One of the slowest and weakest players I've seen at this level. And after starting brightly, Ekitike is done nowt for months. And you can add Woltemande, Sesko, Gittens and Simons to the list. Have any of them done anything to justify their price tags? On the other way, Liverpool sold Luis Diaz and Quansah to Germany. The general feeling was that Diaz was good but not elite. He goes there and his record is a goal or assist per game. He's a superstar. Similarly, our young back-up CB is an ever-present for a CL-level team. Can't help feeling the Germans are just a farmers league and we should be judging the players there accordingly (inc Kane's stats farming against absolute dross, just like he does in an England shirt). |

A lot of German stuff is about teamwork so
they are better than the sum of their parts Whereas we seem to want to shoehorn players into less suitable positions One to watch anyway, as much of what you say is also correct. Olise always looked good to me, and he's shining for bayern, but what happens if he moves again... |
