It is this supposed playing out from the back.
Two full backs stand either side of the keeper who could just take his goal kick and find a team member, but for some reason he decides to side foot the ball to his right back, who in turn passes it back to him. He then side foots the ball to his left back who takes a touch, looks up and realises there is nothing on. He returns to the side foot pass to his keeper who then lumps it 60 odd yards onto the opposing central midfielders head who knocks it forward putting the full backs and keeper under immediate pressure.
Whatever **** kicker clown has created this waffle and managed to persuade Managers that this is the way forward needs binning off immediately.

Strikers not offside from goal kick, have to
retreat to own half else played offside when goalie
eventually launches it as you describe.
By all means play out when you get chance, but that doesnt
mix with taking 40 seconds to get ball back into play
so oppos can get their press set.
Funny old game when they don't seem to understand what
