Can't believe Mickey Flanagan not mentioned yet.
Used to be good (seems a theme with many comedians to be fair) but saw his recent stuff and it seemed awful - not at all funny. Like say, some others go that way too - Jack Dee same, loved him, then he seemed totally unfunny later on... |

Adding someone who really can't be blamed for being worse now
Sean Lock was awesome |

One of the funniest guys I ever met.I was likely one of
the guys he bunked off early to play golf with. One rainy day he did a stand up, impromptu, at the golf club and I never enjoyed comedy as much. https://www.comedy.co.uk/features/comedy_chronicles/post-stardom-its-paul-squire/ .. |

Emo Philips is the best live comedian I've seen.
I got persuaded to go to Micky Flanagan, against my better judgement I hasten to add. I went to the bar at the interval and stayed there until it was over. |

I went to the bar at the interval and stayed there until it was over. that made me laugh more than he or Michael McIntyre ever have so fair play slippy.. |

Mick Miller is the man. I heard Mick on the radio earlier, still going strong and not afraid to tell his (harmless) un PC jokes. Still playing the club circuit at 76 years of age. Bit of a rarity these days, a funny scouser ![]() |

...going have to check out Werbie's recs as haven't seen much of them..vaguely recognise names. Please do, those three are fantastic with the off-beat and unexpected one liners; Tim Vine does similar stuff |

I just watched 20+ minutes of Sean Lock (Lockipedia), didn't laugh once. I then watched a 4 minute clip of Werbie's Milton Jones... laughed at almost every joke, some of which were very clever. I will watch more.

ok Werbie you have a point. A brief trip through all 3 of your selections (Milton Jones, Stew Francis and Gary Delaney) gave me a good laugh tonight. Thanks for those.
