In their precarious position you would expect West Ham to rest players, but trying to judge what teams will do in the cup is a challenge in itself. Brentford could rest players too, citing their challenge for a European berth, further increasing the headache for punters. Probably best left alone and toying with a bit of in-running, assuming the game is worth watching.

Surely you can still bet on which team strength you think is likely here? That's what 'betting' is, is it not?

Personally I think WH more likely to rest than Brentford - yes they both have games coming up, but WH have more urgent need to grasp league points overall. Plus, Brentford have long time till their next game.

I've laid WH at 3.5 on that basis, plus the fact that Brentford can be a decent side in any case as long as reasonable team chosen.

I hope WHU go strong, got cover in most positions if the worst happened with injuries/red cards etc, and the Man C game next up is a 0-pointer on all stats. Brentford going weak would be a nice bonus.
