Good man - didn't know you had been switched from radiotherapy. Know absolutely nothing about hormone treatment so look forward to hearing how it goes. As per usual GL with it TD.

Just looking back coz I have missed a couple of days on here and there seems to be a continuity problem. Is it my imagination or have several key posts been deleted for some reason...? Strange...?

Good luck dragon. Pretty sure i got it..my pee streams as weak as well...p*ss
Nature can do its job..no radiotherapy for me after my mate had horrendous reaction to it and died in agony..each to their own..everything crossed for you

For info Dragon i was diagnosed with aggressive prostrate cancer 2017, given 2years .my psa doubles every 3 months .Its a long story but i had my prostrate removed 2017 and its sent awayfor testing.THE RESULTS came back "it hadn't penetrated the prostrate wall!"
I WAS NOW CARRYING anaggressive tumour that had escaped at the "BIOPSI STAGE.I,VE HAD TwO EPISODES OF RADIO THERAPY at two different Welsh hospitals....they didn't get it.
I'VE BEEN on 3 monthly hormone jabs for 8 years.
The jabs have kept the psa down.."  0 " but you're waiting for the day it breaks through.
I Suffered minor burns with the radiotherapy but experience good and not so good with pain .(very bearable with a couple of couple of co codamol..not knowing when is the problem.
MY CANCER WAS SPREAD BY THE BIOPSI!!!! and i can clearly remember mr.C" This hormone injection will KILL any cancer that escapes at the time." said the nurse.

Think hard and research before having a biopsi....is there another way....if you knew you had an aggressive tumour a surgeon wouldent go sticking needles in it!
p.s i.m nearly 80 and but for this in very good  health.
Next jab tomorrow...

thanks for sharing BG - i take it you love Boxer Dogs - I do too!

Ive already had the biopsy and they rated my cancer as moderate risk and not aggressive so hopefully i have by passed by the terrible misfortune you have had.

so glad to hear that you have made it for nearly 10 years post diagnosis and i hope that you have many more years to go.

again thanks for sharing and i wish you all the best going forwardCool

Half this thread disappeared & now it's back. Suggests technical issues rather than heavy handed moderating.

Just catching up on this Dragon, had not realised you had undergone the op yet.

Good luck with the rest of the treatment and trust that all works out well for you.

cheers guys - day 13 of hormone treatment today.

Definite good days and bad days. General fatigue and lack of normal zest as well as being a bit emotional are the worst symptoms so far.Not sleeping that well but its ok.

Libido defo taken a nose dive so the tablets must be working.

It will be interesting to see what impact the injections have later this week.

Hiya TD thanks for the update - good to hear things are progressing. Had to google the drug you are on - medical science really is amazing nowadays. You seem to be doing very well and have a very positive mindset and that is key to your battle. GL with the radiotherapy and keep us posted when you feel up to it. All the best - v. p.s. wont mention football far too depressing atm
