Yeah, you're probably right Des, but if it is still tight I'd fancy City in that game.

Arse will most likely go on to win the title due to the incompetence of the other title challengers but they are extremely underwhelming. What's the opposite of "box office"?

I don't mind Arsenal winning it, but can't stand Arteta. So, I'd rather they didn't. Doesn't make sense, I know, but there you go.

That makes perfect sense. Legohead is probably the least likeable manager in the league and the fans are mostly insufferable.

Even if the VAR adjudged the Rice elbow was not handball, Rice has bear-hugging a player while the ball was in play. A clear foul.

VAR is bent.

Chelsea turning the screw. Only a matter of time before it's 1-2.

Ref is a disgrace, twice he has stopped Arsenal on really dangerous breaks to give them a freekick.

Arsenal really do invite trouble at home sitting back with a one goal lead. I just wish they wouldn't do it. For some reason they have been much more adventurous in the Champions League so far.

Did i just the most obsvious penalty ever, I had a dodgy channel telling me it hit his shoulder. it was an elbow, this is why football sucks.

I didn't think it was handball offence, Rice wasn't looking at the ball, when his elbow did move towards the ball, a result of grappling with the Chelsea player. Rice was all over the Chelsea player with his arms, but nowadays manhandling like that seems to be acceptable and is rarely considered a foul.

It was less of a handball than City's yest. Glad the decisions were the same but could have both been given.

I can't see Arsenal winning the league with no bálls to finish these teams off when they can. Even with 10 men at home they are inviting them on and not looking to kill them off. Nothing about it says 'champions'.

Their players are looking tired and making very basic mistakes and we haven't even got to the business end of the season. They are tired because they don't finish teams off and nearly every game is in the balance for 85+ minutes. Their squad players are thus rusty and they're going to need them. City could be just as bad tho but more pressure on Arsenal than previous years this year. City should be focusing on the cups by now but instead they smell blood.

Give Emery this squad & we'd be 10+ points clear.
Arteta is a handbrake manager.
Over thinks the simple game.

Arteta is levels above Emery. Emery was the same at Arsenal as he is at Villa. Massively overachieves based on stats for half a season, people talk about him being a top manager then a massive falloff when it reverts to mean, as is happening now.

It was the same 2 years ago at Villa too, he was a point off top after 18 games, talk of them being dark horses with poor underlying numbers, and 23 behind by the end of it. People have short memories, talk him up as top when he's doing well then go quiet and pipe up again when it happens again. Arsenal fans should know this well.

He hasn't had as much to spend as Arteta, that's because he hasn't been there as long, Villa are a poor club who spend 90%+ of their money on wages and have nothing left for transfers, so he signs Rashford and Sancho on 200k a week and that doesn't count as 'spending'. Then they get fined 9m for wage levels by UEFA and start crying. Arsenal sold their best players for 10 years to pay down debt on a new stadium. Villa won't do that, despite their owners pumping 700m in since promotion in 2019.

Remember when he went 14 games unbeaten in his first year at Arsenal with 10 wins? Auba scored 10 goals from 11 shots on target. Then picked up 4 of the last 15 points to finish a point behind Spurs in fifth, losing to Leicester, Wolves and Palace. Then lost the EL final 4-1 to Chelsea.

If Emery was 10 points clear at this stage (no chance) he'd still find a way to lose it.

If Arteta doesn't get us over the line in EPL this year, he need to be binned.
There are no excuses - the best squad be far yet we're in  a race with a below par Citeh.

Yeah, awful tactics trying to hang on to a one goal league at home and the reason we have been conceding late goals. It's horrible to watch and perplexing as when we take the handbrake off our football can be fantastic. For some reason those performances are reserved for away matches. Champions League is a much better watch. I guess the way team's set-up in that competition allowing the game to flow suits Arsenal better. Ironically a much more attractive team to watch in the 2023/24 season when we battled a far better Man City team.
