If only the fans would vote with their feet then some normality could be resumed.

Any sign of that happening mate?

The top clubs dont care about the long standing english based fans , they know they can fill their stadium with tourists etc who will spend thousands in the club shop , look at the crowds now they are full of tourists filming with their phone not even watching the match

Unfortunately not wes, as i said earlier, fans loyalty is exploited to the max.

I have no objection to players getting well paid as years ago it was they who were the exploited ones. However it has gone too far now.
In any other type of business the whole structure would be akin to a house of cards.

They actually have rules in place to stop
club owners putting in their own money to
enable them to compete.

Hardly house of cards stuff, at the mo.

Dixie, I think fans have been moaning about footballers' wages ever since Johnny Haynes became the first £100 a week player back in 1961.

No they certainly are not machines wes, the standard of the EPL is pretty average. Which is why so many of us are dismayed at how much they are paid.

Fans have only really questioned players pay since the cost of admission, merchandise etc shot through the roof.
Johnny Haynes may have got 100 quid a week but the average player was on about 25 quid a week, not massive compared to the average uk wage then of 15/16 quid a week.
