Is currently serving up the lowest, most drab and boring league season ever!!

What a boring turn off football has become.

Seriously the enjoyable games are well out numbered by seriously borefests and I don’t think it’s because there is more televised games then ever before, it is one heck of a poor season entertaining wise I’ve think I’ve ever seen in excess of 35yrs of watching matches!

Yes, I agree. It's the most boring season in living memory, imo. Pretty much all of the big guns have failed to show up and Arse will win the title by default. I don't even watch any Arsenal games as they bore me to tears.  I'm definitely watching a lot less full games recently. I can't suffer through any more 0-0 snoozefests- life's too short.

^ I agree.
If we carry on like this, we'll be the worst champions in EPL history.
We really are bang average.
Without goals from set pieces, we'd be fked.

i watched the supposed most creative player in the EPL BRUNO at utd ,yesterday, pick up a ball cleared by city from a utd corner, just inside citys half, all the trime in the world , no city player withing 25 yfds of him,he turned round pass it back 50 yds to utd keeper on edge of the box,and if that wasnt bad enough then ran back 50 yds to take the ball he,d just passed back off the keeper and look up for a pass 50yds behind where he was 30 secs earlier with time and spsce to do anything he wanted

Must admit, its been an absolutle BOREFEST this weekend, I can't see Brighton v Bournemouth being like these last 3 game, as both sides are more intent on scoring goal, rather than not conceding them.

Viktor Gyökeres was average in The Championship, but put him in the Premier League, and he’s a league winner straightaway.

No idea why we went for him over Mbeuma tbh.

Maybe because he's a central striker, and that's what
manager was looking for, having failed to sign isak.

We we're never gonna pay £100+ for a striker.

But you spent £130m+ on Eze and Gyokeres. Shocked
By:
----you-have-to-laugh---
When: 18 Jan 26 18:58
Well yeah, but point remains.

You got Eze, who is pretty much an mbueno alternative

Either would take time to settle into arsenal pattern.

Gyk should have hit ground running, but maybe hasn't been as
good as havertz(early days)

Groceries was a Brighton reject who ended up in Portugal via Coventry.

That profile never screamed top striker to me. He just doesn't look skilful.

Said before Eze was a panic buy to cover for Havertz's injury.

He's done nowt either.

How's this for a stat.

Liverpool were the only top 4 side to score a goal this weekend.Crazy

Arteta wanted a team of monster-big groks.

He's smart tbf and seen which way the wind's blowing. Individual skill and pretty passing is yesterday's game. Now it's all about set pieces and winning individual battles. Gyokeres can't kick a ball straight but he can put himself about and block runners at corners.

Sort of. Massive full backs, massive midfielders and a massive #9. It won't be pretty, but it'll be successful.

Only with current refs where it's not enough of a foul
not enough of a push, not enough of a shirt pull.

Wenger used to like big lads in his early days but at least he also played some champagne football.
Now we're like Stoke.
The irony.

I think this season has seen a reaction against Guardiola-ball. People saw what happened to Russel Martin last year with Southampton and realised that passing out the back is really a fools errand. Unless you can afford the very best players.Th

At some point the whole league will cotton on to the set piece shenanigans and there will be a regression back to the good old days when no one could score from corners.

The big problem is of course the goals that are chalked off by VAR. I dont know what you can do about that short of throwing the technology out. But that aint going to happen.

Fans could vote with their feet (or channel changers) and just watch EFL games. The authorities might then get the message about VAR.

Take then prem off sy and there is basically f all (esp if not into US sports). If Arse don't win it this year then they and Arteta must go down as biggest bottlers ever. No one wants to win it it seems!
