Clubs wouldn't survive without cash from supporters.

Ffp stops owners putting cash in to buy players, thus in effect forcing
them to milk fans.

Maybe a football task force would look at that, and allow owners
to add extra funds to make up for reducing supporter prices for tickets.

Do you remember the last USA World Cup in 1994 when Diana Ross "kicked" a penalty in the opening ceremony?
The greatest living American, Donald Trump, put in an appearance at the start of the Ryder Cup.
Donald is certain to feature in the World Cup.
Please, please, please Donald kick a penalty at the 2016 World Cup.
And just to spice it up for his many fans, put Gianni Infantino in goal.

Scots already have a victory -

The Tartan Army have been given the green light to wear sporrans with their kilts at World Cup matches this summer, the Scottish Football Association (SFA) has confirmed.

Thousands of supporters are expected to travel to the US to cheer on Steve Clarke's side after the men's national team qualified for the first time since 1998.

The World Cup stadium code of conduct states ticket holders are only permitted to bring certain types of bags into stadiums.

Sporrans initially failed to meet the strict security criteria but, following talks between world football's governing body Fifa and the SFA, it has now been agreed fans will be able to wear them.

Why are there co hosts for this world cup , America has 78 of the 104 matches , surely a country the size of America can squeeze in another 26 matches , The 2030 world cup is a joke , 3 matches in South America and the rest in Spain , Portugal and Morocco . also Argentina Paraguay and Uruguay qualify automatically due to the fact they are hosting 1 match , but the real reason is so Saudi Arabia can get the next world cup unopposed due to rotation .

See a UK granny was banged up for 6 weeks in an immigration centre when at the very end of her holiday she was trying to LEAVE the US into Canada and there was something very minor wrong with the paperwork. It's all about the Benjamins for the arresting officers etc.

The cities that Trumps withholding funds from (and some top that aren't) are basically saying very little help or info from fed gov hindering organising and things being descaled.

The best of luck to anyone who goes - it could be a very long and expensive trip!

There has to be more to that granny story. The media will print anything that makes Trump look bad. They may have a prior history of overstaying visas.

There was a story in Ireland recently about a guy who has been locked up over there since last year and he said he had a valid work permit and was married to a US citizen and had applied for a green card in 2025. The media were all over it and even interviewed him over the phone from the detention centre where he said he has never even had a parking ticket over there, a model citizen. Didn't even question him about the 16 years in between.

Turns out he went over there on a 90 day tourist visa in '09, stayed there illegally for 15+ years (overstaying automatically excludes you from seeking naturalisation in the future), was due to be sentenced in Ireland for possession of ecstacy but absconded, lied about this to get his 90 day visa, left a girl pregnant with twins behind him too, has never paid her a penny in maintenance in 18 years and has no relationship with his twin daughters.

Was also previously married over there to a black woman who alleged that he racially abused her before they divorced. There is a valid court order made that he is ready for deportation. The only reason he is still in detention over there is that he refuses to leave despite them offering him $2.6k and paying for his flights. The media swallowed his BS whole and have actually made Trump look good. The public have zero sympathy for him and want him deported back here and sentenced for his drugs charges.

You don't get arrested and locked up for months for no reason. I've seen it suggested that the woman's husband was living and working over there illegally for more than a decade, that she'd previously overstayed a visa and been banned for 10 years which expired in 2023 and she couldn't explain the basis of her being there when stopped by ICE.

ICE will come out with some sort of a response to that article in the coming days. Guarantee it won't look like her version of events when they do.

You do if every single person gets a bonus per body due to the obscene amounts of money now corrupting the system. The border guard, he believes you and lets you go, he gets nowt, he ignores the obvious truth and arrests, he gets dosh and then every one down the food chain gets some. all in or why have the job?
It's basically how the Us judicial system has worked forever, now it is in immigration. Wait until they start ordering detainees to work for nowt or 'slavery' as the rest of the world calls it - again what the us judicial system is run on.

You don't have a clue about the legalities. They got her on a technicality, harshly, when she re-entered after being refused by Canada. But it looks like her husband overstayed a visa and worked over there for 20 years illegally and she visited him multiple times and overstayed visas previously.

You see Trump stand for election and you are near retirement age, hope he doesn't win, then he does and you still have 2 months to leg it. Then you get the wife over for a last visit touring the country one more time and fúck up the paperwork for your car. Crazy I have no sympathy for morons like this and neither do the majority. There are people who were wrongly detained and imprisoned but not for 6 weeks without reason.

By:

When: 03 Mar 26 00:11
Helping him enter from Canada. A specific offence under their immigration laws. You believe the word of her saying it was for packing a suitcase. It very likely wasn't on that basis. That's my point. Stop swallowing the words of a known visa overstayer whose husband is a 20 year illegal who she's visited and overstayed multiple times.

Ask yourself why they haven't questioned his visa status after 20 years in that article? Why hasn't he been naturalised after 20 years? Why does she need a holiday visa to visit him if he's been there 20 years and is his wife? Basic journalism/obvious questions you ask before printing that are completely absent from that article.

Obama deported 3m in 8 years and it wasn't questioned.

She ain't responsible for him, they never got into Canada, as you know.

So re entering USA, from USA, and her visa was valid, his was not.

She had a previous offence, and served a ban, and obtained
new visa.

They could have deported her, on the technicality,
which of course they did after being locked up for 6 weeks.

She's warning folk, rightly so, about USA.

They more or less asked her to do so by the treatment of her.

Seemingly he was detained for same amount of time
as she was for their various "crimes"
By:

When: 03 Mar 26 00:38
They crossed into Canadian territory, were refused and tried to re-enter the US. There is a distance between the border guards, they aren't right up against each other, as I said, a technicality.

She didn't explain the status of her being on US soil legally when they asked her, so they detained her. Aiding and abetting an illegal (her husband) invalidates any visa she had (the law). They got her on that and she doesn't have a leg to stand on. She's a complete moron and has no regard for US law and doesn't deserve any sympathy.

The US has always had strict immigration laws. Boxers and musicians have been banned from performing there. Just because one President completely disregards the law and opens the borders to at least 4 times the illegals, doesn't make the next president who tries to correct that a bad person. That is actually the proper thing to do.

As I said Obama deported 3m. Hillary Clinton campaigned on deporting illegals. It is not some extremist policy generally but reversal of it is over there after what Biden did. It is happening all over Europe too and it is not extremist there either, just smart and logical policy that has been in place for hundreds of years in the first world. The only people who benefit from it are employers and landlords, slum living and working conditions suit them.

Its not just her is it lurka ther's Germans. Irish, Aussies (no Isrealis or SA), some who had a very minor thing wrong some with nowt. Either way you have to be pretty dumb to think whatever this granny did, the best way to handle it is to lock her up for 6 weeks. that is where America is atm  She signed on to an early release scheme very early where thy geve her 1k  but they still kept her there passing her from place to place, it all costs. Many (linked to Trump) are making a lot of money out of this - are you saying there isn't all this $ in the system being wasted - what is it there for?

BTW the nhs down south will fail when all the immigrants have gone - its very simple demographics. the baby boomer generation have left Europe but esp the UK in an almighty mess and watching you all die horrible deaths with no care is going to be interesting. BB motto will be:

'My bum hasn't been wiped for a week but at least no brown person has wiped it'

Ss you sit in your own sheet..........

Guess what -  this country has always needed immigration - pretty much every single country does at some point. Go on, read up!

It’s not the genuine migrants who want to work here and contribute to society, anyone with a brain is concerned about, thicko virtue signalling loony lefty.

It’s the 1000s of ILLEGAL immigrants who are entering countries ILLEGALLY, with no intention of working and contributing but instead cause terror and trauma weekly as the facts show.

Sorry, she's technically not legally in the country if she re-enters from Canada with an illegal (her husband). Her visa conditions are breached at that point and she is there illegally at that point. That is the law, look it up if you don't believe me. A technicality, but a lawful arrest all the same. I don't get the sympathy for her and that Guardian article says things like 'her husband's visa had expired' but doesn't tell you that was TWENTY years ago. Completely disingenuous nonsense and I wouldn't believe a word she says.

A lot of the recent immigrants are doing the types of jobs teenagers and students did part-time not too long ago but they were all already housed. It's a race to the bottom, the landlord and employer class benefit greatly it drives up the cost of living for everyone else and puts a massive burden on public services, welfare and health in particular.

You talk about the NHS like it's some excellently run service with no waste. In reality it's been run down deliberately for decades with a view to privatising it. And when you bring in immigrants en masse from the third world, who have poor health relatively and have them working & living in v poor conditions with poor nutrition, that is going to massively outweigh any positive impact from a handful of them working in the NHS.

imagine if Brexit hadn't got rid of most of the white, healthy hard working (but still unacceptable to brexit voters) eastern europeans who all left and were replaced (as foretold by pretty much everyone who voted remain) by these brown immigrants. Brexit completely negates whatever your argument is (and is part of the cause of)  the present situation - that is impossible to contend.
