Regarding Liverpool - many people will say they're supposed to be professional, but I think the (subconscious?) emotional trauma of Diego Jota could be a major factor.

thats a very fair point poppy in all fairness. must be hard to care much about football after something like that. although it didnt affect results early in the season. delayed reaction perhaps with grief a very strange thing that doesnt follow schedules necessarily

It seemed early in the season when Liverpool won 5 games
that they were set up wrong. Some good coaches around these days and just getting picked off. All this grief is something of a distraction and plenty of folk have used grief to solidify an effort, the good coaches will continue to pick off a poorly organised Liverpool and if liverpool try to fix a grief problem without fixing the defence it might get worse before it gets better. Last year was a great effort, after chucking in towel the year before, maybe there are just too many towel chuckers under pressure. |
