Che is one of the proverbial “couldn’t score in a barrel” types. Just why he took a touch the other night can’t even be guessed at. Shankland, the best finisher they have btw, sits it out again.

Denmark will win easy, any team that have mctomminey has their best player must be rubbish,United soon sussed this and off loaded him for a massive 25 million, which helped greatly towards the 50 million for onana.the money men at United played a blinder.no wonder the glaziers are laughing at their success.

Denmark with most of the possesion and territory, but they haven't looked like scoring. (apart from the one that they did score, mysteriously ruled out) No reason why Scotland can't hold out, imo.

The finest chance we ever had to qualify ( and arguably the finest squad we ever had ), qualification for England 66, and we’re 1-0 up on Poland, at Hampden, with 7 mins to go. We lost 2-1.

Wales,Scotland and Ireland, benefitting from English academy’s .and grand parent rules, hence why they’re punching above their weight now.
And it’s great.

I can’t work out if it was James McFadden or Neil McCann but he saw the possibility straight away. McLean the scorer said he thought about it twice then had a go. Just on the half-way line. Imagine seeing four of the best goals in Scotland’s history and all in the one match! Yes four. The three beauties and Shankland’s. His counts because he’s a Jambo and it is his first for his country (I think)!

Was it? I accept it but am surprised at it too. He has had so few starts and impact time of normally about ten mins. He deserves an extended run after his performance. tonight. Not at all brilliant but certainly more effective than his competition, imo.

Great in spells, rubbish in others, typical Jekyll and Hyde stuff but to deliver on the night, like that, is simply amazing. Sixty years I’ve been watching and supporting Scotland and I’ve never seen anything like it. All the previous angst and disappointments just melt away. So many memorable things on the night like the volcano of yeeeeeeessssssssss from the commentators when the third and fourth went in and, believe it or not, to see the normally exceptionally, guarded, taciturn and dreich dour Steve Clarke shed all his inhibitions and DELIGHT with the squad and anybody else just like an ordinary fan somehow was the cream on the cake! Somehow, to see him absolutely beaming and ecstatic seemed to make it even better.
