No heat for Eddie ? seriously underperforming this season.
|
|

They put an EG table up yesterday on SS and Newcastle were 5th or 6th. Spurs were 14th, Villa were 16th and Sunderland 18th. They've 3 wins out of 4 in the CL and are through to LC QFs.
Funny thing is though, that Newcastle have been shocking last 2 PL games. Aside from those they've actually played very well imo |

What's an EG table?

How has had plenty of heat for a few mistakes he's made
Which is why I mentioned him 3 days before the post asking no heat for Eddie. My phone keeps taking the e off his name Sorry. |

Farke v Frank

5th. Farke
6th. Frank 7th. Slot |

Slot won’t be sacked and I’m pretty sure that he won’t chuck it either. Imo.
Early in Klopp’s career he and his team also had a dreadful run of results. Winning anything looked to be very far off. I remember his words well. He told his players that the worst thing they and him could do was to lose their nerve. It worked and they pulled away from the brink. Slot needs to lead like that now. |
|
By:
Klopp's players weren't winners then, the club didn't have max PL/CL revenues either. Slot should get to before Xmas at least. Very few if not none available for that job.
Farke - Leeds should have sacked him after promotion. He won't adapt. His voice also gives me the creeps. Serious hard-drive check needed there. Frank - not right for what Spurs want. Which is fantasy land stuff like winning 7-3 every week with titles. With Levy gone they might give him more time. |

There's been a lot of changes at Spurs, of late, and all of them coming AFTER the last window, where Levy let us down badly. Eze was always a talent and someone that Spurs needed and had in the bank, until Levy stalled and let Arsenal back into the frame. It has come back to bite us.
The point I'm trying to make is that a window (or four) is needed to sort out the mess that is currently Tottenham Hotspur. Even Mr Magoo can see that we have nothing up front and nothing supporting the front line, so it was always going to be difficult for Spurs this season. I respect that and know it will take time to sort it out. Yesterday was not a shock. We simply do not have the clout to compete against the top teams and although I hate to admit it, Arsenal ARE a top team right now. I'm not going to pass judgement on the manager or above until we've seen a few windows. This is still Levy's team and it is awful, so we need to ride out the season and start a rebuild and, as I said in The Spurs Files some months back, this is not a season of expectation with the players we currently have. |

Haven't seen more pathetic managerial performances since Ole Gunnar Solskjær.. United will never trouble the top 4 with this guy in charge.. imo. |

Farke has been as low as 1.15 but surely now has a couple of games credit
Parker must be on thin ice. Already had a reputation of a promotion manager that is out of his depth in the PL |
|
By:
Leeds and Forest winning makes a gap. West Ham win tomorrow and Parker in danger imo
|
|
By:
Yep, it didn't look so bad when there was a tightly bunched group of 4 or 5 teams. The others have stepped up and Burnley haven't.
can't understand why I could take all the money at 6 & 7 for Parker. He basically indicated in his post game that he is on the brink of the sack "I am weak in my position" (said twice). He brought Fulham up, went straight down 11pts adrift. Silva took over and got promotion and kept them up comfortably ever since. Got Bournemouth promoted, lost 9-0 to Liverpool, said there was no way Bournemouth could compete in the Premier League. Was sacked for saying that, Gary O'Neill took over and kept then up with ease. None of the other managers are going to be sacked for losing this week, as they all just about have enough credit. Parker is one loss from going IMO, and it's Newcastle away. |
|
By:
Nuno and Dyche are operating well above bottom 3 level. Forest 10/15 total points in last 5 games, WHU have 8/12 total points in last 5. Fulham have 9 of 17 total points in last 5 too. Burnley 0 points in those 5 games. All of that gained on Burnley in 5 games. They were ahead of the 3 of them before that.

Parker seems to have lost the plot, says Burnley's performance at Newcastle was 'absolutely incredible'
![]() Maybe the highlights didn't do Burnley justice but just looked like a routine Newcastle win to me. |
|
By:
He somehow reminds me of Michael Palin in ripping yarn mode. Something about how he swivels his beady eyes before answering a question.

Burnley were just as good as Newcastle first half but
sending off and pelanty hit hard Newcastle scored from a corner, 2nd half routine, until they got pelanty, but too late really despite ref playing 8 mins injury time, when only 3 added |
|
By:
ah OK, MotD didn't show any Burnley attacks until injury time, made Parker seem deluded if you heard what he said and then watched that.
|
|
By:
They had quite a few corners, causing chaos, and hit bar.
Corner taker got sent off... Double whammy, he was hitting good spots,... And Bruno scored from corner, small margins. Parker probably right to big them up, as it can't harm them, and it's good management, imo. Reality is perhaps a little different and they could have pushed harder a little sooner 2nd half. Hey ho, decisions,... Get beat 4 or 5 chasing a point and confidence is low... |
|
By:
If you asked the owners of the top clubs around the world if they would rather have Salah or Slot then I doubt any would say Slot

Amorim is not out of this, if they don't beat Wolves he will be back under pressure.
