Denmark plenty short enough here at c 1.72.  Greece very unlucky last week in a 3-1 reverse against Scotland which they dominated and would have been worthy winners on the night.  Greece still in the hunt and Denmark worth a lay

We watched the reverse fixture on tv last month when on holiday in Greece.

No fluke about the 3-0. Although Greece looked good
a few days earlier against Belarus.

There is of course a different pressure around this fixture.

Good luck.

Greece started like a train then news came through they had been tipped on the Betfair forum so they conceded three before half time.

Greece eliminated.  scotland guaranteed a play-off spot.

nobody will want scotland in the play-offs after they dismantled Belarus 2-1.

And the president of the USA backing them

I agree Greece should have won last week which would have made them acceptable winners on the night.  They blew it though and against a very moderate side.  So, can they really be relied upon?
Love the “dismantled Belarus 2-1” line.  Laugh  We deserve it but the old-timers like me are so relieved.  It stops the news sport broadcasts from being raving lunatic asylums of unreality come Monday evening.  I think about the team that was kicked off the park, 0-0, by Brazil in 1974 and weep.  Only one of this bunch would get a seat on the bus, and he speaks with an English accent!  Cry

Scotland have some decent players but lack a quality
striker, (not many around)

Need to avoid Italy in playoffs, probably.

1974 Scotland team was excellent.

scots best chance is automatic qualification rather than play offs

Ralston, McKenna, McLean, Dykes all way below what is required.  Souttar, Hendry, Hanley only minimally less so.  Any of the four goalies in contention.  Just not good enough.  Which actually makes what Clarke has achieved so much more remarkable.  Compare Evan’s to Dalglish, Law, Jordan and greet.  And, to rub salt in the wounds we have three very decent left backs!  Laugh

I agree with Honcho the central defence is very limited, not just in moving it quick to allow others to get things going sharply, they are good at defending balls fired in from in front of them, but if you attack Scotland on the ground through the middle you will get joy. Clarke is brilliant manager, Denmark and Greece are good sides so to get a play off is a good result, which they would have taken beforehand.
Obviously the striker situation is a problem but I think yer man does ok, but they don't get ball forward quickly enough and get runners supporting him, because they are too ponderous at the back.

don't agree with that

I don't agree with that either, but it's a marginal call.  Denmark are better than every likely team in the play offs, and they'll almost certainly have to beat them in 90 minutes.  If they get beat in Greece even that won't be enough.  I think they are 3/1 against to win in 90 minutes at home to Denmark.  Greece have nowt to play for, which is a blessing for Scotland.  Hopefully they experiment, but a first choice side, even with nowt to play for but pride, will push Scotland and are prolly favourites on the night.  If they are seeded in pot 2 (which is marginally odds on imo) they'll be favourites to reach the play off finals.  And if they get a home draw in that, and avoid Italy, then that'll be a toss up.

Meant to say Denmark are better that every likely team in the play offs bar Italy
