Morning all,
Congrats to last weeks winners and please note that due to the wretched International break there is a very limited number of selections this weekend and only on SATURDAY 11 th October only in the LEAGUES 1 and 2 and the NATIONAL League .

ASPRO Easy rider who is away has selected a postponed fixture unfortunatley. What is your view on randomly selecting another fixture with the same scoreline to allow him a selection . Or should we just regard it as a void selection?

If we picked him a different winner that would probably be unfair to the rest; it really has to be his choice imo. I would void it for this week. He certainly won't be the first player to miss a week.

Whilst agreeing about not randomly selecting a pick
for somebody, and the other solution being having more than one pick. Why not bring in a rule that if you pre select due to being away, then in the event of selection being void you go onto shortest price selection of the week. A bit like going onto fav in a place pot. Anybody not selecting still gets nowt. ? |

Had to read it a few times and I agree YHTL, that isn't a bad shout, but I'm still of the opinion that it is for each of us to select our own bets, however, I do have yet another solution that might work and avoid losing out on selection...
If the bet is void and not replaced by another selection before the weekend is over, how about allowing that player to keep that same selection (and score) for when it is replayed. The onus is then on the player to post this on the current thread, with the odds, and it will be allowed to stand. A credit selection so-to-speak. I'm quite happy to keep a record on voided bets that are not replaced, but I cannot guarantee spotting the replay, hence the onus on the player. Thoughts? |

Another simpler idea would be to just give them a betting credit, allowing two selections in one week. I just add "BC" beside their name in the outcome column until it is used.

Would be very simple to add and remove a credit. I won't use BC though, I'll add 'Cr' beside their name then nobody misses out on a week if their selection is void (only).
