Worst possible thing to happen for Robinson, Reform et al would be for the boats to actually stop, this issue has been used by the far right to peddle their hate and with the support of far less extremist type people happy to march for the cause without realizing that although they may have noble and innocent intentions, they are being used and this has allowed the issue to become the perfect Trojan Horse for Robinson and his ilk to be able to develop a huge platform and tap into,infect and indoctrinate the public consciousness.
“stop the boats” issue is a vehicle, not an end in itself, for the far right. If it disappeared tomorrow, their oxygen supply would dwindle – but until then, it does act as a Trojan Horse letting them reach audiences who’d never otherwise march under an explicitly far-right banner. |

Neville is right, these flag raisers and roundabout painters didn’t come out of nowhere, funds for this campaign come from elsewhere, probably Russia. Rip them down where you can.

There was an interview a while back by the Under the Cosh podcast with Rod Thornley (Ex Man Utd masseuse).
He stated at one stage before the Glaziers bought Utd the club staff would share a portion of the income from MUTV as a bonus and would also get a top up from a player collection (Think a kind of Crimbo bonus). Anyway the Glaziers bought the club and put an end to it stating the TV income was in total due to the club. He stated Neville then stated if the club weren't contributing then the players wouldnt either. The next time they were doing the overlap, Keane was bi*ching and moaning about Thornley without naming him. He showed them (Neville in particular) up as the self serving c**ts they are. As for the flags. If thats the worst thing happening in the UK, then they are lucky. Let them fly the flags and ignore them. They will eventually tire of it and find something or someone else to blame for their crap lives. |

Malay its not a stupid term, of course it doesn't mean you cannot drink champagne (now that really is silly to suggest).
The term has been around for over a century and could hardly fit the likes of Gary Neville any better : The term 'champagne socialist', often used pejoratively, refers to the perceived hypocrisy of liberal middle-class people who advocate for socialist ideals while continuing to enjoy their own affluent lifestyles. It could be expected that any accusations of hypocrisy when it comes to middle-class socialism would be coming chiefly from the political right. Yet some of the most vociferous attacks of champagne socialism have emanated from left-wing voices. A notable example is Ramsay MacDonald, the first Labour prime minister of the United Kingdom. He would be called a traitor to his party’s egalitarian principles throughout his time in office, with critics lambasting his hobnobbing with the British elite. |

Of course you can have those views Malay, but do you not see the hypocrisy of slagging off capitalism whilst enjoying all it's fruits ?
If only dixie did have a "nice few quid" he wouldn't have had to run a pub in Chester after retiring or work as a porter for Littlewoods Pools ! Although he was a pro at Everton, wages were not great and were in keeping with the common man, unlike today. He would of course have earned a fortune in the modern era. Neville began his career at the advent of the Premier League and thus became a multi millionaire. His principles haven't extended as far as refusing the Murdoch shilling have they, he's a hypocrite. |

Dixie not a great fan of Neville he obviously was a failed coach but is a very successful pundit telling everybody what is wrong, but you could say that about most of them, if they were any good they would be managing rather than on TV.
Anyway respect you're support of Dixie Dean Everton and English football legend no doubts on that. |

What is ironic is Neville talked about division but all these comments have done is cause division, people follow him for football, football being the greatest form of escapism from people's everyday lives, yet he keeps dragging them into the sphere and swamp of the convoluted, devious and downright deranged world of murky politics, thanks to the instantaneity of news foisted upon us in a heartbeat via social and mass media, all of our ears are then drowned in this nonsense whether we like it or not. Further irony is it's international fortnight with where more flags will be waved around than usual which'll only help to drag the story out longer than it should be.
Gary Lineker essentially and eventually lost his job for branching out and venturing down the same divisive political path Neville is, either he is also comfortable with the thought of losing his position and platform in Broadcasting or more likely thinks it's completely safe ground talking about angry white men given he's working for Comcast who've replaced a lot of white workers with those from multicultural backgrounds in recent years, which in a lot of instances was correct as it didn't really reflect the differing shades of skin and backgrounds of it viewers given the diverseness of the country, it was near all white, in other instances moving on former high claibre football players come pundits with low quality nobodies like Morrison, Dawson and a female pro nobody has seen play, wasn't. He should in my opinion stick to football, if he wants to be a political activist he should do it full time, then I could switch over to LBC or TalkRadio to listen to him if I choose and where these sort of opinions belong. By the way, he's not a champagne socialists, he's too tight to buy champagne. Kind Regards. |
