What is the net spend since Arteta took over?
Arsenal transfers: Premier League net spend table since ... They've also sold a number of players over the last five and a half years, having recouped €235.34million via player sales. In total, that gives Arsenal a net spend of -€632.28million since Arteta took the reins, which is the third highest in the Premier League.8 Jul 2025 You certainly don’t sound bitter and twisted…..much ![]() |

If Eze is added to play on the left then more or less
Arteta has fixed the problems, or weaknesses, or areas that might be strengthened, that were pointed out at end of 23/24 season. A season, last season to recover from exertions So a good chance to compete this season. Finishing second to man city was a decent effort, probably better effort than they were given credit for. Might be unlucky to find city had improved too Chuck in champions Liverpool who have also strengthened and it's a great title to win. World club champions waiting for top3 to slip up. Arteta appears to have gone down wrong route with some of his interviews, but maybe he's just deflecting stuff onto himself. Time will tell Arsenal win league this season Arteta is a genius. |

Fa cup was Emery team
Arsenal have spent 1.1 billion on players once Eze is confirmed. The Nett spend is 900m and he hasn’t delivered a trophy since spending big. No other manager has had 5yrs to develop his squad and not won a trophy. As I said before He has to win it now or he goes down as the biggest choker in the history of the premier league era. He has been backed more than any other manager ever and failed to delivery if he doesn’t manage it this season. Arsenal fans don’t have faith because they’re all deflecting with excuses. The facts are he has been given time to develop this project he has been backed to a billion pounds and if he doesn’t get champions league or premier league he is a master in failure. There is no other statement then that Do or be the meme for life. Don’t want to hear city this, Liverpool that. Get the job done or be renowned for eternity as the biggest failure in football ever. Those are the facts. No other coach / manager has had the luxury Arteta has been given. Yes chelae and City and liverpool have spent big as well, but they’ve delivered. ETH delivered more with United for a big outlay. Arsenal have a higher net spend than city in that time since Arteta first full season and transfer windows and they’ve won a trophy on their return for every 80 or 90 million spent. Arteta if u count the Fa cup when he took over the team is 1 billion for one trophy!! He can amend that by delivering this season, but if he doesn’t then like it or not WD he is stats wise the biggest failure as a coach in football. No pressure Arteta!! Do or boom for his career and the media is already geared up for the pressure cooker!! The man won’t be able to stay in his technical area |

So everybody agrees it's about time Arsenal won something and this is a make or break season, no excuses if they don't win the prem or ch league this season (having been the best team in both comps last and are now much much better) Arteta is gone. Phew, glad thats sorted.

Course it is Tyrone
So who will take over when Arteta is gone Allardyce or Neil Warnock? Jose comes in spends another Billion then leaves? Which manager will win Arsenal the Title? Again I am not a fan of Arteta. I would have gone for Klopp before Liverpool got him. Who now? |
|
By:
Best case scenario
Arteta wins the League then immediately goes to Barcelona and we get someone who gets them to play Sexy Football |

Which manager will win Arsenal the Title?
Everyone know the answer to that question |

They've got two hopes of that happening. Bob hope and no hope.

Slim has not left town yet.
Spurs making me laugh again at Citeh Who is going to challenge Liverpool? |

I'm not sure if Arteta is the issue at Ars*nal. I think it's more a mentality issue among the players and the club as a whole. Four seasons running they failed to show up when it really mattered.
|
|
By:
Can't really say they failed to turn up in 23/24
Citeh just beat them with an exceptional end of season. Much of the rest is maybe valid, and it was noticeable that the players talked a more positive game at start of last season but they had a few setbacks and put effort elsewhere, Really interesting to see if they can make the final step. |

You've got Eze now, he is a phenomenal player and it's obviously a massive blow to Palace but we wish him well and hopefully he'll help Arsenal succeed. It's a great signing.

The very last day of the season, Sunday 24th May, Palace are at home to Arsenal.
That could well be a title decider! |

Be interesting to see if Liverpool can continue playing carp and still somehow grinding out results. Has to have been one of the luckiest wins I've seen recently. Comprehensively outplayed until goal completely against run of play and then even with Gordon getting sent off after his braindead tackle and going 0:2 down, once Howe had recomposed them, they were the better team in the 2nd half with only 10 men. Until Liverpool sucker punched them in the 10min of added time. Can't help feeling that eventually Liverpool will pay the price, if they don't start playing better. Apparently, the ball was in play for ~40min despite the match lasting ~111mins, a record low going back to 2010.
|
|
By:
Didn't really grind it out to be fair.
They score goals when they attack then its seat of pants defending as midfield simply not good enough. They are so slow getting ball into play and ref let them as he is clearly unfit and needed the rest. Should have had a pair of binoculars as he was so far off the pace. |
|
By:
Liverpool had a lot of luck last year too and lack of injuries. Doesn’t mean it cannot continue. They need Guehi badly! Kerkez on crosses looks like a huge target. He doesn’t even look at the ball. Saka does a hammy again….why? How?
If they go after Isak too hey could be pretty well set but they just don’t look 100% ….. like last year. Arsenal can challenge but they have to carpe diem it although everybody gave it to Liverpool last season and serious challengers amount to Arsenal only this year. |
|
By:
injuries are about training regimes and managers managing minutes as well
Saka was an injury waiting to happen last year given the minutes he played. He obviously has hamstring problems which Arteta doesnt seem to know how to manage McAllister is Liverpools best midfield player and has been out injured so its a myth that its only Arsenal has injuries to key players |
