I'm confused, thought this Club World Cup was replacing the annual competition that usually takes place in January's betwen the regional winners from around the world!
turns out that's still going ahead
PSG have already been put into that final, ready for the likes of Auckland, Cruz Azul and Pyramids (guess where they're from) to fight it out, PSG will win as European clubs always do
so who exactly will be the real world Champions, Chelsea or PSG?
Club World Cup was a farce - no English, Spanish or Italian Champions, 3 best teams from the 3 strongest leagues in the world absent, there were a couple of Portuguese teams, neither of them even won the Portuguese league either, what were Salzburg doing there, a pub team from Austria, don't get it, Mamelodi Sundowns ? Wydad ? Seattle Sounders? then there was Auckland who are maybe League 2 level (being kind), and the worst incarnation of a Man City team in over a decade.
so anyway, we're going to have two World Champions in effect this Xmas, maybe they could play off against each other again as a final decider

the competition this December is the old World Club Cup, they've just changed the name to the Intercontiniental cup, shoe-horned in this summer comp and expanded the number or teams and games, but both comeptitions are effectively the same thing, PSG will probably face the South American champions in the final and declare themselves the best team in the World lol.
