Never going to win anything if you get outsprinted every time there is a chase for the ball. Walker needs his winter fuel allowance. For at 2 goals we had possession mid field and they just took the ball off us like we were kids. Senegal are the first African team to beat England. Says everything about this present set up.

I didn't like the idea of not playing a striker.
Why call Toney into squad and not play him. Why doesn't Kane play as a striker too, he cant score all them goals pishing around outside the box. I know it's sort of modern stuff, but a decent striker is still a major requirement in football. |

The problems remain and are growing.
I thought we had three quarters of a defence and needed to decide the right back. Skelley, Guehi, Konza look decent to me. The midfield balance as ever is the conundrum that needs sorting. So many candidates and options. Rice plus 2? Upfront Saka, Kane / centre forward plus imho Eze. Previously I wound have gone with Bellingham fo sho, probably still would in which case get a cart horse/ water carrier in the three |

I think if you want an Eze on left you need better defensive left back
than skelly. Livramento as a right back offers the same problem... He's playing for u21s, lol. If reece James stays fit he shirley starts at right back, but that's a huge if. Rice is a must, but if Bellingham plays then rice needs to play deeper, finding a good holding midfielder would improve us substantially, as it frees up rice. |

Tottenham and man United both won cups in last year or so.

I'm glad a few people think Tuchel will sort this out. Lets face it, he hasn't a clue. If you watched the interview when asked why he picked Ivan Tony but didn't play him he was at a loss for any meaningful answer, apart from mumbling something about the strikers were doing well . Really ?
He knew this question would be asked , a professional would have a prepared answer ready. How much have we paid for this chap? |

Kane is past it, we all saw what we saw in the Euros. It is telling that in the Euro final Bellingham ended up on the no-mans-land that was the England left wing. Phil Foden had been shipwrecked out there originally. Having your most technically gifted player out there made no sense. Bellingham offered little in terms of possession. He is a great athlete but not a great technical footballer. There are about 4 guys who could replace him and probably improve the team. Add on top of that Bellingham appears to be a red card waiting to happen in the Beckham/Rooney tradition. Good news is that after the club world cup he is off for surgery. He will miss the start of the season and maybe the autumn internationals. Great chance for Tuchel to build his own team. jimnast; looking at it positively we'll have our best team out next year that should perform a lot better than last week. However, I wouldn't be surprised if our top players are knackered particularly any that go deep in this club World competition.

Almost anyone that qualifies can win it. Don't see many nations winning it back to back either. It's a tournament not a league, no obv winner |

You’ll certainly, in my view, win nothing without Bellingham but with or without him you’ll win nothing with the likes of Walker. How he has consistently kept TAA out of the side is a mystery to me.
As for us, we know we’ll never win anything. We don’t delude ourselves unless of course we sign up to be good little boys with the SFA’s so-called tartan army, wear stupidi tourist kilts and sing that dopey double of F of S and we’re coming. And therein lies the perennial English tragedy. You consistently produce the material but don’t have the wherewithal to galvanise it into a winning mentality and performance. Then, when you blow another tournament you should have won you beknight the recently-retired dummy who blew it for you. |
