Certainly pragmatic and adaptable (Frank),
in terms of safe defensive football, I think that's only true when playing against teams that significantly overmatch his sides on talent, they were the 5th top scoring team in the PL last season (66) and scored only 2 less than N'castle, 3 less than Arsenal.. In the Championship when he had one of the better sides for a couple of seasons they were very much a front foot aggressive, attacking side so with Tottenham's available players and maybe more to come I certainly don't think you'll typically see safe, defensive football but the pragmatism will certainly remain. |

Tottenham are interested in signing Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo. Cameroon international Mbeumo scored 20 times for the Bees in the Premier League last season. The 25-year-old's former manager at Brentford, Thomas Frank, was named Spurs boss on Thursday. Earlier this month, Mbeumo was the subject of a bid from Manchester United of £45m and £10m in add-ons. However no agreement was reached between the two clubs with the offer falling well short of Brentford's valuation. |
