Died on the 16th May 2025, aged 93.
The doyen of football writers, i used to love reading his books growing up in the 70s particularly the World Cup ones.
Never afraid to speak his mind or take an alternative view to most writers/reporters, he was a frequent critic of the EPL and also gravy trainers like Sepp Blatter.

Glanville was a great writer. Old school, and
had a knack of making you feel as if you had been there.

I'm sure I own a book written by him on Arsenal, bought from the Works many years ago, 93 is a good innings. Kind Regards.
He was a life long gooner mes, wrote at least a couple of books on Arsenal amongst many others.
