Fantastic semi final. A long time since I was actually looking forward to a second leg in this competition. Should be more of the same.

Yamal is what football is all about, don't think he's as good a dribbler as what Messi was who had a lower centre of gravity and that bit better control with the ball sticking to his feet more, but he's the next thing to him since he retired to Miami.

Over the last 15 years or so sporting directors and data analysts have ruined football, maybe even before that, Ruud Gullit on the Overlap today talking about the problem with even when he first became Chelsea manager, people telling him who could train today and who couldn't. Modern managers and their obsession with possession has basically meant dribbling has been outlawed, they are so stat driven they do not want players to lose the ball needlessly, Yamal is a throwback to how football should be played and why people pay their money at the gate. Players like him have simply been coached out of the game and those in their place are more robotic. Who wants to pay 70 quid to watch 500 short passes in a game? that's what Pep's done.

Goals doesn't equal entertainment per se, attacking plays does, getting fans off of their seats, not build up plays from the back, watching Villa doing it against Pep at the Emptyhad all game long had me switching off, it's boring.

I think Yamal is more exciting to watch than Messi. Not saying he is better but just brings a gasp then a smile to your face.

Watching both him and Nico Williams in the Euro’s was pure joy and I hope Arsenal get Williams even more than the centre forward that ought to be first priority
