they don't mention there's not in the FIFA rules, so I assume by default that means there is extra time anyway, and the mention of pens in shootouts not counting as well.

Yh I played Club World Cup FIFA last season. Extra time counts. So if 0 - 0 after 90 mins then clean sheet isnt locked yet until 120,  for example

Pretty decent effort so far to be in the top 7000 out of over 2 million entries.  And not too far clear of TM and MSM who both in the top 1.5%.  So still all to play for.

A few of you are doing very well. It took me a few rounds to realise the substitutions weren’t automatic. Kept wondering why my missing players weren’t replaced by my bench.

Substitutes are automatic but only if you have not made any changes during the live round manually or changed your captain.

Can you change your captain mid-game week?

Yeah, if Mbappe bombs tonight, you can just move the captain on to say Oyazabal tomorrow if you had him, if Mbappe had 4 pts, it'd mean you'd lose his captains pts (2pts) in that example so worth the risk. And if Oyazabal bombs, you can move the captaincy onto Kane on Saturday.

How stupid is it you're given 2 points for a player winning  a penalty, but no points deductions for missing a pen, only fantasy game I know where that is the case.

It is a bit Kenbo, requires you to be a very active player during the tournament, should only be allowed to pick 1 captain at the start with no in-play swapping of subs, but once you know the rules you have to play the ball rather than the man, so to speak.

Will have to go big or go home with the wildcard, apparently there's around 2.5 mil entries, top 100k for anyone will be a good achievement.

Gabriel at 8 mil is just so wrong, his centre back partner Saliba is out and Arsenal are not expected to be as defensive as we were last season now we've won the title, he's a goal threat too but still.

looks like the Telegraph game is kaput, that's a shame, always enjoyed that, following on from Sky's game a couple of seasons ago, dreamteam not running a World Cup game and maybe not season game next season, even heard fanteam's future is not certain, and there was draftkings pulling out of the UK a year ago, fantasy football games massively declining bar FPL that seems to have swept everything up but with no real prizes on offer. I even remember playing the Daily Star game years and years ago. Must be no money in providing them anymore.

By the time you get back CB29 it will be international break! You wouldn’t miss many points at all by not switching your team around for a week tbh.

This isn't anything like the World Cup (sprint)... It's more like a Marathon with added torture..

I have a new philosophy and process for selecting players this season. By week 10 I should be out of sight.

That didn't work, I thought Emit said he'd be out of sight

My second team will have no Haaland, Bruno, Gabriel or Reyes

and will not use transfers after week 5 unless a player is out long term.

My initial thought is that 12 million for Bruno is too expensive and if it weren't for the favourable start he wouldn't be in so many teams.

Man utd have a dream start and he's a proven points scorer, I think he's first name on list at the moment.

Can help shift to haaland in 2 transfers when/if required too.

Bruno is not a great point scorer when he plays deeper and with Tielamans and Santos added to the squad who knows where he'll play or even if he'll play in easy games.

Well yeah, there's always doubt at start of season, especially when players return late after
a world cup campaign and holiday on the beach.

I thought Carrick had scrapped the Bruno at 6/8 experiment, but...
