Twenty two players, not games.
|
|
By:
You have 2 bench boosts. 1 in 1st half of season, then 1 in 2nd half
It's likely the first one will be a standard game Wk before new year. 2nd half of season there will be some games rearranged so more skill to play it in right week. Game week 16 sees start of Afcon so you get 5 free transfers. Makes bench boost easier. I had 15 players play, but only 5 points on bench so pleasing I didn't use it. |
|
By:
There won't be any double game weeks in the first half of the season though will there, that only happens in the second half when certain teams have a game cancelled through a cup final clashing with a league game or something like that, when there is a whole set of games scheduled like we usually get at the beginning of December for instance that counts as a seperate game week and not a double game week.
Matchweek 13 is Saturday 29th November Matchweek 14 is Wednesday 3rd December Bench boost will only work on one and not for both |

Didn’t know there were two bench boosts.
In the past, if there were weekend fixtures and midweek fixtures they used to class that as one weeks worth of games. You’d get two games for the one team you picked. |
|
By:
There are 38 games, and 38 game weeks.
If one game is rescheduled outside of original game week then you can a team playing 2 or even 3 games in a week and all counting. Obviously players didn't score points in original gameweek as game was not played. Subs would come in. |

It's new s.kenbo
Each chip is available twice, once in each half of season. |
|
By:
They seem very keen on players scoring more points.
|
|
By:
If the fantasy game started on week 2 and you just had to watch game week 1 without playing, how many teams would be the same when you started in game week 2 to what you would have picked before game week 1......very few I reckon....the wildcard is designed for a reset at or close to the start of the comp IMO.
|
|
By:
Indeed Duffy.
And from the rules... The Free Hit chip cannot be played in consecutive Gameweeks. So if the first chip is played in Gameweek 19, the second Free Hit cannot be made active until Gameweek 21. The first Wildcard becomes available after the first Gameweek of your season and must be used before the Gameweek 19 deadline on Tue 30 Dec 18:30. The second Wildcard will be available from Gameweek 20 in readiness for the January transfer window and remains available for use until the end of the season. The Wildcard chip is played when confirming transfers and cannot be cancelled once played. No chips can be carried over from the first half of the season to the second, so the first chips must be played prior to the Gameweek 19 deadline on Tue 30 Dec 18:30. |

Wildcard for me too. Very early I grant you to make wholesale decisions on clubs and their form but we have to, don’t we. So am ditching all Villains because on that show they’re probably likely to struggle this season. I’m impressed by City and am bringing in Haaland as he has proved he is on and probably Rejinders and Lewis, who are both cheap enough. Am keeping Palmer meantime but Fernandes out until he shows anything and bringing in Odegaard for his all round ability to score pints, because he looked on it too. Filling in up front with cheapo who might produce in next two matches - Strand Larsen. And bringing in a cheap Sunders midfielder to balance the budget - Ballard - who at least has EPL experience with a history of some points at least.

That was score points not pour pints!

Was Rosana bottom of the league on Saturday night?
|
|
By:
Rosanna was down the bottom with me after Friday night because they never had any Liverpool or Bournemouth players so remained on 0 points, which would have remained until after the 5.30 game on Saturday was concluded as far as the table was concerned but you could click into the team through Saturday and see the points being added in real time.

Five clean sheets and the bench boost played. Top bombing.
Only ten points for the bench boost though. Not great for four players. |
|
By:
All defenders kept clean sheets plus extra 10 points bench boost..

The Big One..

By:
I'm thinking anything over 10 points on first Bench Boost would be great... I've benched my 2 West Ham players, so living in hope.
|
|
By:
A decent wedge for the winner.
I’d be disappointed with ten points. If they all played most of the game they’d get eight points between them. Aim big. At least twenty! |
|
By:
Getting 15 players to play 60+ minutes to
get 8 points on bench is a decent effort and why it may be good to pick an early week before injuries kick in. 10 good, 20 excellent 6 not bad. |
|
By:
What do people think about captaincy this week? It's incredibly tight between the big 4 Haaland, Salah, Palmer and Saka. I think Haaland is the best but don't have him, and don't think I can trust Palmer on a Friday night with how on and off he is right now. Salah Monday for me I think. It seems the safest and most reliable and the game could end up being 4 - 3 or something crazy.
|
|
By:
Haaland for me. Salah omitted. Too expensive having both. Have also dumped Palmer - against my instincts - and B. Fernandes, until they make some points.
Wildcard used - six changes. |
|
By:
Gyökeres is my captain
No salah/haaland Had Palmer last week for 3. Much easier just captaining haaland/salah if you have them. |

I’ve captained Saka. Gonna try and see how captaining players playing at home fares, especially against so called weaker opponents.
|
|
By:
Arteta says Gyökeres is on pens
Slightly weakens saka, who I also have, hence captain decision. |
|
By:
Frimpong out until after international break
Didn't fancy facing Gordon... |
|
By:
I didn’t know that. It does slightly weaken my choice now.
Gyok does seem to have a decent record. Don’t think I’d be too pleased if I was Saka though. |
|
By:
Saka sometimes delegated to Odergard anyway.
|
|
By:
Havertz being out might give gyok more minutes too
59,ffs |
|
By:
I get you s.kenbo but at the likes of the Emirates the real bottom feeders tend to park a bus which makes home scoring tough/tougher.?
What a game. The possibilities are multiple and we have to work them out. ![]() |

My team picked and set:
Verbruggen Aina. Milenkovic. Ballard. Reinildo Szoboszlai. Saka. Odegaard. Rejinders Haaland c. Etitike Seems a weak selection but most will be at home next week, against reasonable opposition, and the others, Saka, Odegaard and Haaland will be away, but can do well anywhere. So with half an eye on next week and a bench boost,……… |
|
By:
Did I do well dumping Palmer - benched. Obviously being reminded what he needs to be concentrating on. But I dumped Pedro too.
I thought West Ham would be stuffy! What a mess. |
