Rooney & Ronnie. There was one picture of them in the off season. CR7 was fit toned and bronzed ready to go. Roo looked like a cross between the michelin man & eden hazard.
Ferguson used to say it took Rooney 5 or 6 games to get up to match fitness at the start of a new season for Utd.
Which just goes to show...
All those times he rocked up at a world cup or euros for ingerlund, especially off the back of an injury, they might as well have left him at home.

For as long as Ian  Wright has been a pundit, he has alway been made to be the third leg, always stuck on the end, always left with the crumbs, that's why he once left matach of the day back when Hansen was there with Shearer, he said there was nothing left to analyse after they were finished. Nothing's changed then. Why does and Irishman in Keane get first dibs on England matches for example ffs, ask the Englisman first, Kind Regards.

Not bothered if he does well or not and Rooney's spoken English has improved over time but he is never an orator never mind a great one in an industry where communication skills are paramount, he's there based on his name not his record, doesn't have the personality to be a leader of men and could never make it as a Premier League manager, your level of intelligence does need to be multi layered and multi faceted to deal with an array of differing situations and more importantly, people, Fergie was a genius at getting the best out of players by understanding their personalities and knowing how to press their buttons, some players he went for in the dressing room knowing they could take it and knowing they'd want to show him on the pitch in response, others he knew couldn't so left them alone and put an arm around their shoulder instead, this all based on stories of ex United players years later. Rooney seems a good egg but at the same time, a simple guy who doesn't have all the mental tools necessary to manage at the top. The Plymouth owner employed him to attract more attention to the club, get them on TV more, better players to the club and improved sponsorship deal, same as Birmingham. There's no way he would have been the best candidate to hand his CV into that job when it came up. Kind Regards.

S.Kenbo no way! Rooney has totally failed in 2 Championship jobs, and didn't do much in his other 2 tries, no chance he gets another chance anywhere near that level. And he will not be mentioned for Man United or Everton anymore than Tony Adams gets linked with Arsenal.
