He's a size and a half now.
Probably ate 6,000 calaries a day when he was training and playing. Can't do that when you've retired |

Every time the team he manages loses a game he eats a biscuit.

England could be doing with him currently despite carrying a bit of condition.

Could be managing them, or helping Southgate understand basics of football.

he was some player alright

If Wayne was still playing he'd be a £150m footballer

Rooney and Ronaldo was probably the best strike pairing
I've seen in Premier league. They were telepathic at times. Rooney would improve any team as a player in his prime. £150 million would be cheap. |

Magnificent talent. Seems a good lad too.

beckham and teddy sherringham was fantastic and when ted went back to spurs beckham and van nistelrooy was a perfect replacement....

Rooney & Ronnie. There was one picture of them in the off season. CR7 was fit toned and bronzed ready to go. Roo looked like a cross between the michelin man & eden hazard.
Ferguson used to say it took Rooney 5 or 6 games to get up to match fitness at the start of a new season for Utd. Which just goes to show... All those times he rocked up at a world cup or euros for ingerlund, especially off the back of an injury, they might as well have left him at home. Nothing ever changes with england does it... |

Agreed Duffy..but while we are on Rooney thought he did pretty well as a pundit. Just watched Ian Wright - I like him...but...he is getting very slack now as apundit...nothing to add whatsover tonite in fact found wanting for any insight or preparedness whatsover...possibly on the jolly. Ange was good.
|
|
By:
For as long as Ian Wright has been a pundit, he has alway been made to be the third leg, always stuck on the end, always left with the crumbs, that's why he once left matach of the day back when Hansen was there with Shearer, he said there was nothing left to analyse after they were finished. Nothing's changed then. Why does and Irishman in Keane get first dibs on England matches for example ffs, ask the Englisman first, Kind Regards.

By:
I have to say that as much as Keane is my favourite United player, he's not on the panel for his tactical analysis is he, he's there for the occasional blow up, what he contributes by way of "effort" "passion" etc etc etc, we kind of know already.

--------------------- In fairness he's only doing his job... |

By:
Which makes him compelling viewing, Duffy. He’d say the things others wouldn’t dare say.
|
|
By:
Yeah, I agree, I was just saying, horses for courses, we know what he's there for, nothing better than most of United's performances over the past few seasons when he's been on the panel, particularly when he's rowed with Carragher.
