Just layed Liverpool, seem a bit short to me.

I thought so too. Saw some say that Arsenal needed to win it, might turn out that way but you don't go up there looking to win in a game you can't really afford to lose. Klopp never did it in the league even tho he should have when he could afford to lose in 2019.

Arsenal might want to think about picking a tournament to go for too. Go for both and they will fall short in both imo. Don't think they can win the CL either, so they should go all out for PL.

Arteta v Pep won't be as interesting as Klopp v Pep tho. Two nerdy peas from the same pod. Arteta still has some more building to do tho I think.

Another point worth notice is that the gunners last two games are against Man UTD and Everton ,IMVHO i can't see either of these two teams being busy trying to do Liverpool a favour if they don't require or need to win points for themselves. If the title race goes to the last two fixtures surely The Mighty Gunners will be given SIX free points. And UTD will not be doing City any favours either.Shocked

im thinking city won't win anything else this season, madrid CL, chelsea or utd facup and ars or lpool lge will topple them

not sure weve reached it quite yet but there comes a point when the fixtures become irelevant and teams officially switch off on the beach etc,and they might not win ,3,4,5 nil, but  the title winners/contender,s  eventualy get a goal to win a game,as long as their not winning it on your ground dont think this everton, utd, spuds wont be lifting a leg etc, adds up to much

Pleased to see Arsenal standing up to City a bit better this season. Horrible match to watch from what I glimpsed of it. Draw just makes it a bit tighter between City and Liverpool for title. Prediction if no team has horrendous slip up:
89pts Man City
88pts Liverpool
86pts Arsenal

Laying Arsenal to win PL 3.9 still looks like a nice profitable bet to me Bayern tie will derail them.

Yes I think come the end of the season Arsenal will look back at the West Ham / Fulham Double Event and sigh.

Manchester City have a tricky Wed night/ Sat lunchtime (London) and you would imagine they need to win both.

would it be any less trickier if it was a sat 3.00 KO ?
if they play tues instead usuing same logic makes the previous weekends game trickier,
they dont walk to london LaughLaughLaugh,

sounds like some rubbish a sky sports presenter would say Laugh

Early kick offs are difficult for away teams as they either
sleep in strange bed or have hassle of travel before game
with less recovery time.

But yeah, it's something that happens all time and
not specific to title run in.

As ever adrenaline kicks in for teams in contention
and helps override the difficulty.

Well, yes it would. The teams won't be doing much training between games now but it does curtail recovery time. That means playing less minutes or risking more injury, especially if your next game is the following Tuesday at the Bernebau.

yeh but if for example  they play tues it reduces recovery time for tues game from previous weekend, its swings and roundabouts
By:

When: 01 Apr 24 22:18
Not quite swings and roundabouts imo. When you are talking between 2 and 3 days' recovery time (with travel too), hours make a huge difference. Not so much when you are talking between 3 and 4 days or more. I don't think they should have any team playing Sat lunchtime if they have played later than Tues night. That slot caters for the Asian market primarily and nearly always has a big 6 team playing as the Asians don't support anyone else. People always blame BT for picking the game but I suspect there is more to it than that. The game could be played at 7.45 on Sat which they have done a lot this season.
By:
lurka
When: 01 Apr 24 22:23
The Asian market is huge and Sat lunchtime is prime time Sat night over there. I think it's something that has arisen as the money from foreign rights became greater than domestic, never seen it confirmed but I suspect that it is not simply BT picking the game. But City have the best squad, have turned the PL into an endurance event (possibly thru financial cheating) and are best equipped to deal with it, so I have no problem with it being them.

I would price it

6/4 Man City
2/1 Liverpool
5/2 Arsenal

Must say I thought Villa would have given City a harder game but - credit to Pep - he dropped their two biggest-name players and the calculation paid off.
Liverpool keep defying gravity but they can't get away with giving the first goal until the end of the season.

ars are the value, they've fecked up last season and are now playing with a different mentality, city leaking too many goals and goal diff against them, lpool despite injuries look the ones most likely to take it if ars slip up, still say lay city
By:

Liverpool often look the least impressive of the three, but somehow come through with a result. Arsenal can be layed at 3.55 today, seems plenty short enough, especially with the qtr final against Bayern (who are 2.42 to qualify) looming. Arsenals record against Bayern is atrocious. I've always been able to separate betting opportunities from allegiances when it comes to gambling.

When you look at the fixtures its hard to see where City are going to drop points. Brighton and Spurs maybe but unlikely. If Liverpool beat Man Utd today they will be in the box for sure. For Arsenal, Spurs & Man Utd both matches are potential banana skins. It used to be the case that the teams fighting for survival towards the end of the season could make things interesting, but  not sure any of them are good enough.
