Can't see Croatia scoring in normal time, is my in-depth and professional analysis. Messi to carry the Argies to victory.

Kind Regards.

France should be winning it now really

First nation to defend it?

They make the final it’ll be 4 finals in 24 years, along with 2 Euro finals in 22 years added to it.. thats some going.

As for this match cant see past Argentina, Croatias doggedness will run out eventually

Brazil defended it in 1962. Italy defended it in 1938.

I'd love to see Argentina get beating, the South American's in general are nasty dirty bar stewards with zero class. That nonsense with Brazil dancing when battering South Korea and passing it off as culture, 1-0, OK, 3-0, 4-0? behave yourself, the Uruguayan's pushing over VAR monitors and hounding the Ref when they werent good enough to beat Ghana and the Argies getting in the Dutch players faces on the half way line after they'd just beating them in the penalty shoot out.

It's like the social norms down there are something from a bygone era, they are decades behind the more civilised, classy and respectful European cultures. They embarrass themselves whether they win or lose, the game against Germany I think in 2006 when they were knocked out was at it's worse. Suppose it's a continent that is far less economically developed than ours and therefore years behind the evolution we've taken into being magnanimous in defeat or victory. When you normalise feral behaviour in everyday society as they seem to do with Drug cartels running the show, the police routinely infiltrated and bribed and guns as cheap as a can of coke with life even cheaper, it transcends into a sports setting and that's what you get, utter filth.

Thankfully for the Argies, Croats are unlikely to score in normal time, their best bet is to drag it to pens again or nick one in extra time when complaceny creeps in as what happened to Brazil, Croats have the minerals but lack quality up front.

Kind Regards.

everyone should be getting behind messi and co to win the world cup unless of course you have backed france like i have.......im totally conflicted. if its an argentina v france final i will have to trade out for a nice profit. no way can i cheer france on v messi.
a world cup win for argentina would be one of the greatest sporting victories in the history of all sports. messi has been one of the best 3 or 4 players so far. could he life the trophy, golden boot and golden ball?

I'd never want the Argies to win anything.  Hopefully Croatia can do something but overall I've long been awaiting the return of league football on Boxing Day.

Croatia not getting enough credit, they are damned with feint praise concerning their toughness and refusal to lie down blah blah, the truth is that the markets STILL react to the Argentina shirt first and foremost, we've all seen it with our own eyes, Argentina are ordinary and depend on Messi but are still odds on pokes which is just too short.

Croatia's technical ability and comfort in possession is such that even Brazil had to settle for counter attacks, which in fairness they did well and Croatia had to ride their luck. Argentina similarly will have to cede possession to Croatia but the difference here is that Argentina won't be as dangerous on the counter as Brazil were with an ever more burden placed on Messi to create.

Croatia's obvious problem is sticking the ball in the net but hopefully the amount of possession they will have will help give them a decent chance to progress.

Lay Croats getting a goal in normal time, they'll be looking to drag it to pens again, as they did twice 4 years ago and twice already here, it's their best chance.

Under 2.5 goals I would think, Croatia,s ability to pass the ball will make it a very hard night for argies, 1 goal may even do it, even though they're not scoring many

I think the prices are mad here. I'd give Croatia the edge in terms of mentality and penalties if it goes there. They are the best team the Argies have played yet and the lack of discipline they showed to let Holland back in from 2-0 was a big red flag. These South American teams are rated on how they perform against each other for 4 years. Top Euro sides are a step up. The refs will prob be on Argentina's side tho.

Croatia XI: Livakovic; Juranovic, Lovren, Gvardiol, Sosa; Modric, Brozovic, Kovacic; Pasalic, Kramaric, Perisic

Perisic all ways looks like he has a goal in him

Quarter-finals confirmed Croatia are painfully sluggish going forward while Argentina are not as sluggish as in group matches and are far more creative
Best bet  Argentina DNB but I'm gambling South Americans will be ahead at half time and their massive stadium support will be celebrating

Croatia just don't know how to launch attacks with vigour, they should take a leaf out of the Moroccan's books with the way they counter attack, though that comes with sitting deep, Croats want to pass their way to goal but at this level it's too difficult and fairly easy to play against, they wont score in 90 minutes.

You need pace to play football and having a CB as slow as Lovern, you are done.

That imho shouldn't be a penalty. He ran into the keeper. If the keeper deviated and brought him down then yes.
