Under no circumstances allow football matches to be played this weekend

The usual suspects can’t be trusted to behave

In Derry when the news broke there was a convoy of cars
‘ celebrating’ the death of Queen Elizabeth in what has been branded
‘ a display of hatred ‘

Also sickening behaviour at football in the south of Ireland.

And there we see the reason in MLKs post

You see this isn’t about me , or him , or you

It’s about Queen Elizabeth .. I would love to see football being played

Don’t allow it - people like mlk cannot be trusted to understand that

Good time to be a burglar then?

When the current honeymoon is over there will be reflection on this disgusting idolatry. It is most unchristian!

All the planning, preparation and resources being thrown at a funeral for one old lady.

Where was the planning, preparation and resources for the Pandemic?

No future in Englands dreaming!

If that's the case the Spurs v Leicester game will be
off at least out the games this weekend then.

The people running football in this country have shown just how far out of touch they are. They even stopped children playing football and yet the Test Match was played yesterday and completed today...different class!

I'm going to Charlton v Forest Green Rovers tomorrow, think a couple of police will suffice for that one.

NO FOOTBALL THIS WEEKEND coming

The real reason is the police have no resources as leave is cancelled over the weekend coming and many are being drafted down to London. Also, British transport police can not police the transport network either for football.

In fact, the idea it is going ahead is laughable. They should say so now

As I heard Simon Jordan say, piss or get of the pot, it doesn't take this long to know whether they can go ahead or not, poor communication and dilly dallying so far. Can't believe they've cancelled Arsenal's game against PSV Eindhoven this Thursday 4 days before a funeral, though that clearly indicated no London football this weekend in the top flight.

With millions flocking to London over the weekend, and heads of state from all over the world coming it is a complete nightmare logistically let alone security-wise and public safety. It was bad enough in central London when the G7 took place last year. This is 100x worse if not more

You can add for security reasons the milk spoilers, the oil protestors and those who want to glue themselves to almost anything. Great time for them as they say to get a message out.

If they glue themselves to anything to do with the funeral they will be dealt with quickly and harshly unlike when they blocked Oxford Circus for a week and the police were dancing and sympathising with them.

I read an article this morning that said they are discussing switching it to Leicester. Don't shoot the messenger.

Theres no way they go ahead if theyre talking about lack of police and millions supposedly flocking to London for the weekend of the funeral

What I find odd is people and the media are treating it as a celebration whilst telling everyone its mourning CrazyLaugh

As much as we don't want cancellations, it's a bit ott claiming the impossibility of catching it all up, 2 weeks max missed for some teams with the rest of the season to sort it, worst comes to worst, stick an extra week on the end of the season and delay the players getting onto the beach for a few days.

Football is getting it easy reading some other forums

Centre parks is closing up for 24 hours and any holidaymakers on site have to leave for that timeframe Crazy

Foodbanks being closed for 2 days as well... Crazy

Its not just football its pretty much everything ie super markets and various other things like McDonalds etc etc

Im just waiting for the media to accuse other news anchors of not mourning enough at this point Plain

And theyre arresting people for daring to write not my king, the man who shouted at Andrew has been arrested and charged Crazy weve turned into China/North Korea

This country needs to abolish this mad house, its high time we did away with the outdated pile of nonsense

Im not pro republic but it is the more grown up system at this point, its time we pushed for it

I quite liked the queen but not at all keen on Charles & William.

I'd like to abolish they but how do we design a system that stops malicious w4nkers like the fat liar becoming President?

We cant SNC

Its one of societies weaknesses sadly, society is always going to be taken in by some charlatan with the gift of the gab...

The man who talks a good game and talks over others will usually be the biggest bullsh!tter

the final day of the season is sunday 28th May
CL final is 10th June so I suppose they could stretch the league out another week as there is no guarantee that an English team will be in the final anyway
I think the integrity of the PL is brought into doubt if clubs are being asked to play 3 games a week and they field weakened sides
