Kane was offside for the foul, when ball was played, so I was shocked when they gave nothing and then a penalty, which was a 50/50 and as the referee didn't give it, I'm surprised it was changed.

German played poked it forwards towards Kane rather than an England player is probably why it wasn't deemed offside

The ball came off a german. He was offside when the ball was played by an English player but not active. He's not deemed to gain an advantage where the German player played it deliberately, which he did. Clearly onside within the rules which is why the ref didn't even look at that part.
