Only Arteta could engineer a loss from 0-1 there. Deserved it with his ridiculously negative tactics.

Defending a lead by sitting back as usual and takes Tierney (who was playing well) off for Tavares who can't defend and who gave the ball away for the equalizer. Makes no sense on any level Crazy

Tavares was woeful against Utd and simply isn't a PL left back

After the United game he said 'we were in total control of the game' after Arsenal took the lead.

Getting 11 men behind the ball with zero attacking threat = 'total control of the game' Crazy

Arteta frustrated with his players  after the game, but I think his tactics are the problem.

Everton to win this 2-1 and Rafa to be saved from the brink.

Stopped watching and went out at 1-1 and 85 minutes. Got a surprise when I checked the fulltime score. Crazy

Can anyone explain why Saka is so highly rated?Odegaard os 5hite as well

He is ridiculously overrated and I've been saying it since he came on the scene. Very little end product and rarely scores or assists. If he was a white lad he wouldn't get a mention from the same pundits and he wouldn't be in the England squad.

VAR - meant to help eradicate mistakes. Well why was that thug Godfrey still on the pitch. A blind man could see that was a stamp on  Tommy's face.

And Gordon 'tackle' on Tavares was a leg breaker. Should have been sent off too.

The offsides against Richarlisson were very harsh. We are talking about a cig paper offside, assuming VAR have drawn their line correctly. I thought that offsides for such narrow margins were to be stopped, and the benefit given to the strikers?

He was outside the margin for offside, his foot was off the ground and so it looked like it was on the line in the still. If his foot was level or only very slightly offside then it would have looked like it was behind the line on the still as it was off the ground. Last season the lines were pencil thin but on the screen they looked thicker for illustration. This season they are thicker, which gives a margin and he was still outside the margin.

I thought Godfrey's was a red but he did a 'no look' stamp, looked away from the player when he stamped and that's what prob got him off as they gave him the benefit of the doubt that it might have been accidental. Didn't think Gordon's was high enough for a red. It's usually the height of the foot or being out of control with both feet off the ground that gets you a red there.

I think both offside calls were fair. Richarlison was definitely a touch offside on both occasions. Seems Arsenal are dropping off again after a good run of form. Arteta is clearly not the answer long term.  His in-game tactics are still non-existent.

Arteta in-game tactics are indeed non-existent and now for some reason the team feels it is necessary to play negatively as soon as they get the lead no matter how the match is going or how much time is left. Everton beat Arsenal through effort and commitment. Arsenal on the other hand have no belief and the younger players are carrying the older players. Pepe and Aubameyang out of favour, players like Partey now going backwards, it is recipe for failure for Arteta.

Tactics are not the only issue. The team is bereft of quality.
