Underestimated by the enemy, quotes of 25/1 were available this morning and if you see any 16s on Monday morning my advice would be to have a dabble. They have just signed prolific goalscorer Aaron Blair from Ongar where he has scored 100 goals in the past three seasons. From what my contacts back in Essex tell me Aaron is the real deal and are convinced he will be playing in the premiership in the not to distant future. He didn't score today but his team still beat the bookies favourites Stockport at Edgeley park this afternoon. Dagenham are under the bookmakers radar.Make them pay.
I woner if Terry Mc Cann is still on the forum he used to support Barnet so could give an update on them
They were gash last season and got beat 0-5 at home on the opening day
Got a draw in the second game

Looked first thing and the Daggers were priced up at 1.85, now 1.67. I have my own affiliation with the area, my folks both lived in Dagenham and Victoria Road stadium is a short walk from Dagenham East tube on the District Line. Dagenham East being one stop from Elm Park where I was born and raised. Watched the Daggers a bit in the 80s including the FA Trophy Final in 1980 against Mossley. Given the built up nature of the area they never got great support when they entered the league, there was a fair bit of animosity when they merged with Redbridge Forest (who not that long before had been born from 3 other East London clubs) although maintaining their home at Victoria Road must have softened the blow. Let's hope we get a decent run for our money this season, cheers...

eaarly days but encouraging 3 wins from 3 games, 2 of those coming from behind to beat pre season bookies favs stockport away and also rallying to beat bromley after being an early goal down ,both bromley and stockport won their next games giving the form a solid look as said early days and a long way to go but couldnt have started much better lets hope the momentum continues .

the daggers drew today with bottom of the table wealdstone which on the face of it was dissapointing and 2 points lost but they were expected to win and sometimes teams raise their game playing the leaders ,also they came from behind twice and the 3 teams or so under them all failed to win so some positives from the result .

Awful in the first half today against Kings Lynn but totally dominated the second and deservedly took the points. Weymouth at Victoria rd on Tues and then the big one next Saturday away to big spending Wrexham. Three points from those two games and i believe the Daggers will be vying for favoritism .

colupaul....just read you used to live in Elm Park. I moved to Elm Park in 1978 ( Elm Park Ave) and moved a few yards down the road to Woburn Ave in 83. The area had gone seriously downhill when we finally decided to leave Essex in 2018.Loving life down here in Exmouth, Devon. My only regret is not moving here earlier.

Small world twiz... how old were you when you moved to the area? I was at Abbs Cross in '78, used the chippy and record shop often at the bottom of Elm Park Avenue, had a good friend who lived there as well. I moved away from the area in '90, I used to live in Eyhurst Avenue. Had my first visit back there in nearly 30 years a couple of years ago, Elm Park Hotel long gone, not a pub I frequented much anyway! Cricketers in Hornchurch was our haunt back in the 80s...

24...both my children attended Abbs Cross. The Elm Park Hotel is now a Sainsbury's and the only shop still trading from when we moved to Elm Park in 1978 was the hobby shop and even that may have gone now.

By all accounts we were beaten by a wonder goal. The Daggers were poor in the 1st half(as they often are) but in the 2nd half the East Enders were largely dominant and were extremely unfortunate not to come away with at least a point after hitting the Wrexham cross bar and then making the home goalie pull pull off a miraculous double save. Darryl McMahon, the Daggers manager, confirmed his team's second half performance was the best they have played all season. Don't worry chaps, we will still win the league in a canter.

Twiz - I recall the hobby shop, being in awe of all the Airfix models. Devon sounds idyllic compared to our old stamping ground, doubt I'll ever revisit again. Took my Dad round that way and Dagenham itself a couple of years or so ago, saw where he was brought up and where he met me Mum who only lived 20 yards away which I wasn't aware of. Different times back then, marrying the girl next door!

As we are all aware in a high percentage of Daggers matches they fall behind early before steamrolling the oppo. With that in mind i'm backing them to win from behind @ 6/1 with 365.

Daggers totally dominated the match and were beaten by a dubious pen. Dagenham themselves had three clear penalty shouts turned down by the ref ,unfortunately it was just one of those nights when nothing went our way. Keep the faith, Daggers are playing the best football in the league currently a comment backed up by Woking manager Alan Dowson who said they were the best team they had played so far this season by a country mile.

* Aaron blair has been sent out on loan to Isthmian league side Cheshunt until January. Not sure of the circumstances apart from he couldn't force his way into the Dagenham side due their strength of squad.

Certainly going through a sticky spell currently but at least the majority of the teams above them lost on Tuesday. Big game on Saturday against 2nd placed Chesterfield. Keep the faith gentlemen.
