that's how they earn a living, sell papers, generate clicks, draw the television audience - hype, just roll with it

Southgate was once the home of Saracens; I rented a flat nearby at the time. They actually won things

It is also the home of one of the forum's popular posters, unless he has since moved. I'll respect his privacy though.

Yeah its been named that since the 1930s? or at least what I've read
Do not know about Crawley though |
|
By:
Yeah a little. I had relatives there and we used to stay there or leave our car there when flying from Gatwick. That's about it
|
|
By:
I need to take more notice when I read. I thought you asked "do you know about Crawley though"

Without looking, do you know what song that stopped from being #1, even though the song in question was the top selling song of that year?
|
|
By:
Not a clue

Wasn't a Michael Jackson song was it?
|
|
By:
Nah, it Vienna (Ultravox)

By:
It's about the most famous number 2 till that GB marathon runner got caught short
|
|
By:
One of their best songs for me, but Joe beat 'em

|
By:
Vienna is a timeless song as well
Everyone has heard that one |
|
By:
Saw Ultravox at Hammersmith. They put on a good show to be fair.

Paula Radcliffe

everyone for years said her marathon record was dodgy, then it was smashed by someone else

Denmark is no gimmie, going for a 1-0 England but would not be surprised if it's the other way
If you do might be wise to back it on Bet365 as I think you get money back for a 0-0 bore draw and The Iatalian's and Spanish might both be too negative and fear losing. England game may also be tight. |
|
By:
Do you really think that the Danes, Italians and the Spanish press are not gloating right now? Do you really think that it wont be the 'pantomime season' in whichever one of the four countries lifts the trophy?
Well they are all major European footballing Super powers compared to poor old underGods Engerland. Remember they have all won it unlike this poor little country on the edge of Europe that has not so it is not as a big a deal to them as it is us! |

Everything Southgate says sounds like he's practised saying it in the mirror 20 times, then when he says it on the tele, it's sounds false. He's no actor anyway, fluffs his lines

I think we should use this thread
Italy to finish the job and make the final stop ![]() |
|
By:
Italy to qualify does look the bet. I also like Italy -1 as I think they will be too good for Spain but it is a semi final and maybe caution pays. Small dabble on the -1 for me, Italy win 90 mins as well and the main forces arranged on Italy to qualify I think but maybe wait and see on Italy in 90 mins and smaller tranches as the game progresses.

i backed italy to win 90 mins i think they will be too good for the spaniards

I'm not a million miles away from Wembley and it has been raining, on and off, all day (some heavy). Prediction is a 20% chance of more so expect some rain would be my best guess. Humidity is on the high side at 73% but it will be quite cool at around 16/17 degrees. As already pointed out Sarabia (Spain) and Spinazzola will not be available this evening.
