rommel,it really doesn't matter who does what for me, I won't be having any money on it.
Just sharing very unqualified, probably ill-informed, opinions.
I'm probably talking rubbish.

Southgate is the biggest liability England have
By:

When: 13 Jun 21 10:56
Kane has 12 goals during qualification, Sterling has 8. Although I think his form has dipped a little of late, you can see why Southgate is keen to keep him in the team and shouldn't really be considered a weak link. Mings most certainly is though; never an international player imo.

I would pick Rashford and Grealish ahead of Sterling and Phillips.

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?

And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark Satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold:
Bring me my arrows of desire:
Bring me my spear: O clouds unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire.

I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

Yep, very true sm, but it's the only explanation I can think of for Southgate continuing with him. He should, at least, be in the squad.

It's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming
Football's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming
Football's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming
Football's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming
Football's coming home
Everyone seems to know the score
They've seen it all before
They just know
They're so sure
That England's gonna throw it away
Gonna blow it away
But I know they can play
'Cause I remember
Three Lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming
So many jokes, so many sneers
But all those oh-so-nears
Wear you down
Through the years
But I still see that tackle by Moore
And when Linekar scored
Bobby belting the ball
And Nobby Dancing
Three Lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming
It's coming home
It's coming
Football's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming
Football's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming
Football's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming home
It's coming
Football's coming home
It's coming home
Three Lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming
Three Lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet still gleaming
Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming
Three Lions on a shirt

Thirty years of hurt
Never stopped me dreaming

I wonder what price them winning if they get to the next stage.
And what if they [hammer] those in their group?
Odds would have to drop, wouldn't they?

Pickford

Walker Mings Stones Trippier

Phillips Rice

Foden Mount Sterling

Kane

is that right?

Would admit to not having seen a lot of Phillips but surprises me on what I have that he gets in the first choice XI

Mourinho set up . No connection between midfield and forwards . Be overrun in middle of park . Right back playing on the left ? No Grealish . Sterling been gone for a year . Tragic .

Kalvin Mark Phillips is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Leeds United and the England national team

I like Mount, he has a brain and Foden will be in the England set-up for many years to come. Mings is my main concern as he is a liability so he needs to have the game of his life today.
