Unless Rooney can get a siege mentality going its curtains for them they will finish bottom

They still haven't signed anyone and even if they signed 10 players before deadline day I can't see them surviving even

It baffles me they can't find an owner though, good facilities and stadium, good fan base as well

Derbyshire prices has dropped from 5.5 to 2.8 was 4.0 plus 12 hours ago very strange as they can't have signed anyone overnight who can play today. As a Derby fan they have to be a lay at that price

A 1-1 draw is all right and you've signed Stearman and Morrison who are both decent at this level, Stearman is a good professional as well gives 100% an honest player

If you sign Jagielka and 1 or 2 attackers you should be fine in my opinion, nothing spectacular but safe from relegation at least

I think with the players you've signed it would be better if you had a Mick McCarthy type in charge though, you ain't playing any type of tippy tappy football with those players so best to go for steel and guile

Luton always play good stuff, they will be top half this season in my opinion

Preston might be dark horses for relegation

Mel Morris will still think they can play the old passing style with work horses though

Luton have signed 8 players and much improved their squad for this season. Far more and better options up front. James Collins moving to Cardiff could be a blessing in disguise, far too static for this league. Top 6 finish would not surprise at all.

As for Preston, the squad does not look good enough and their home form is woeful. Fans could turn on the Manager early. More than just dark horses for relegation. One of the front runners.

If that was the offer they'd be wise to get in contact with the EFL and take it in my opinion

Must say I watched Luton on the box last night. It could have been 7 or 8 goals. Their Keeper could have slept through the match and they would still have won. A very fast side on the front foot now Collins has gone.

As for Coventry, they never showed last night. They were 3rd so perhaps just a one off.

Luton remind me a little of Brentford when they first arrived on the scene in the Championship, love to attack and score goals

Brentford eventually realised they had something good going on and started to adapt so as to get promoted

Shocked to see Fulham getting beat 4-1 @ Coventry.

I didn't have anything on it, but I thought Fulham would have stopped Coventry's excellent home form.

Championship is getting very unpredictable.

Could be a tight season, still fancy Fulham to hit their straps though

West Brom have a great manager. and they have been the more consistent so far. a bit flat. but no 4-1s.

also bournemouth are very solid.

There is a HUGE gulf in class nowadays between the premier league and championship.

Fulham, Bournemouth and possibly WBA when they sack the current manager and bring in some who is decent are streets ahead over a season. The rest are making up the numbers for the parachute clubs sadly.

At some point i can see them scrapping the playoffs as well, it can stop a parachute club potentially and its all about the dosh

I can see them making it a top 4 with 4th playing the 4th bottom in the prem in a playoff at Wembley that gets around the big final at wembley
