Should be interesting how they try to keep these two clubs sets of fans away from the ground what with both of them a stones throw away from it
But over 2.5 and Brentford to win 2-1 and 3-1

Im 81. Yeah we were one goal from the premier against Barnsley.
70 years of Brentford has not been great but at last we have an owner who knows what he's doing. Not many football supporters have full confidence in its owner and management.We do at Brentford. If we miss out tomorrow I still think we will get there soon. Just dont make it too long as im getting old. |

Hope Brentford win mostly because I like to see new names in the PL, would be just in time for the new stadium as well which looks good, saw drone footage of it, good luck.

"First Division heyday (1935–1939) Mathieson Bateman Poyser James (C) McKenzie Sneddon Scott Holliday McCulloch Hopkins Reid Brentford's highest First Division appearance-makers in each position between 31 August 1935 and 6 May 1939. After having risen from the third-tier to the first in the space of just three seasons, manager Harry Curtis elected to keep his squad intact for the 1935–36 First Division season.[48] An extension to the New Road terrace increased Griffin Park's capacity to 40,000, which would generate extra income. After 15 matches, Brentford looked certainties to be relegated, but the purchases of half back Dai Richards and forwards David McCulloch and Bobby Reid in mid-season helped complete a remarkable turnaround, with the Bees showing the best form in all four divisions, losing just two of the final 23 matches and finishing in the club's all-time-highest position of 5th. Brentford again performed above expectations during the 1936–37 and 1937–38 seasons, finishing 6th in each campaign and reaching the FA Cup sixth round for the first time in the latter. The club reached its zenith between October 1937 and February 1938, holding onto top spot in the First Division for 17 consecutive matches. The achievements of the Bees players in the top-flight did not go unnoticed amongst the international selectors, with Duncan McKenzie and Bobby Reid (Scotland) joining previously-capped players David McCulloch (Scotland) and Idris Hopkins and Dai Richards (Wales) in the international ranks. In October 1936, Billy Scott became Brentford's first full England international. The 1938–39 season was the beginning of the end of Brentford's peak. Time had caught up on stalwarts Scott, Muttitt, Holliday and Bateman and the club's lower status led to the sales of McKenzie, McCulloch, Eastham, Reid and McAloon. Though over £31,000 was banked (equivalent to £1,994,000 in 2020), little over half of it was spent principally on three players – Republic of Ireland international full back Bill Gorman and forwards Les Boulter and Tommy Cheetham. Six wins from 10 games from February through April 1939 pulled Brentford clear of relegation.[ Late in the season, young homegrown forward Les Smith became the second Brentford player to win a full England cap and Les Boulter scored on his only appearance for Wales". |

Sparrow I did just miss out but most of those players were still playing when I first knew what football was about.
George Poyser the left back was a very good friend of my father.We never paid for tickets in them days. Poyser went on to manage Man City and Notts Co. He was also manager at Dover where he found Peter Broadbent who went on to play for England several times. Im beginning to get a bit jittery. If we play like we did against Stoke or Barnsley we will lose. If we play like we did against Swansea we have a good chance. I wont be too gutted if we do lose as I think the club is so well run it should happen soon. |

Intriguing local derby, would be great to see the bees getting promoted. As others have pointed out, always good to see a new team play at Anfield too which they will certainly bring a buzz. Brentford are also a very well run club largely developing their own talent. A true inspiration to league teams of what can be achieved on a shoestring.
I think Brentford may sneak through, but not sure they should be such strong favourites though. For me this is 50/50 as to gets promoted tonite. |

Brentford lose I think they'll be fine anyway, they have a good system in place and depsite flogging Benrahma and Watkins if failing they'll find decent replacements for a lot less than they make on those pair anyway. they are the envy of that league. I wish we had a similar thing in place at Forest, knowing exactly what you need and moving players on for vast profit is quite hard to do but Brentford do it effortsly

SS you need an owner like we have got. Matthew Benham who made fortunes gambling is a very clever man and would get most championship clubs promotion. We are lucky that he's a lifelong Brentford supporter. If he was at a club like yours, much bigger than Brentford and so more finance to use he would probably have you in the Premier long ago.
His 5 year plan could be done and dusted tonight. |

As a Baggie I'm pretty neutral but think Brentford are the better team IF on form. I've had a small lay of them at current odds (2.18). Is Mitrovic fit?
As an aside I'd like us to bid for either Mitrovic or Watkins depending on who looses. Whether we can afford them and their wages is a different matter but both are quality strikers. |

Brentford play good football, and have the better front three, but I have the feeling that Fulham might mug them. 1-1, and Fulham to win on pens. Not with any great confidence, though. A 3-1 win for Brentford wouldn't shock me either.
