Needs at least 5 players and esp a decent goal scorer. Hope so.

Should be comfortable.

Two very inept teams coming up with them that are likely to be 19th/20th.

Palace will be below Leeds if they keep Hodgson. Brighton prob 36pts max. Burnley if Dyche leaves....

Just signed a £16m player in the championship (ok probably knowing they would get promoted)

The managers style wont let them be like other teams that just sit and defend, if they sign Rinomhota it will be comfortable.

I watched them last week against Barnsley. Won 1-0 but looked poor to me.

Leeds fans would probably settle for 4th from bottom now

think like any promoted club depends on who they buy. also think bielsa will need to be careful re burn out.

well  it looks like 2  out of 3 again to survive  this season ...  so a better than average chance   ...I think teams like Norwich ,Blackpool etc who have come up going hell for leather at goal  face an uphill battle ...you need to keep it tight at the back ...brighton,newcastle ,burnley, palace have done ok huddersfield survived the first  season  despite coming up on a neg goal difference  and play off route ...just buy a load of old  cloggers to boot the ball high and mighty... a bit like how stoke survived all those seasons

As a Leeds fan I'll be going in to next season with no higher expectations than finishing 4th from bottom .Anything higher would be a bonus. Its all about consolidation.
Theres quite a few v. beatable sides (inc WBA +TBA) ,so I'm quietly confident they can stay up.

whoever comes up through the play offs will go down, none of them look strong enough
Palace will definitely stay up with Hodgson, as long as they keep Zaha, if he goes they're screwed.

As a long suffering Wolves supporter ............... I have to say that all this talk already of who's going down next season is both marvelous and hilarious

Good manager, great support and it seems the resources to go with it.

IMVHO, Leeds will 'do' a Wolves/Sheff United, if not better. I think Leeds are here too stay and will improve the PL.

Need a top quality left and right back, creative midfielder and a proper goalscorer before they even start with the rest of the squad.
Speaking as a Huddersfield supporter and watching it first hand, my over riding feeling is you can get away with a central defender whos big and comfortable no matter what his level when you defend in numbers, Zanka and Schindler were easily decent enough against every team i saw visit the John Smiths Stadium. Especially with a holding midfielder in front of them.
If you sit in and play counter attacking football you just wont score enough against Premier defences, they are also so happy to let you have the ball and sit in seeing you try to go side to side because you cant get through the middle as theres not enough guile, and waiting for a loose pass before launching a swift counter attack that picks you off.
The Premier division teams dont try to come at you through the middle they hit your full backs area, then you have an average fullback trying to hold off players of the quality of Hazard, Salah, etc, even when you play weaker teams we were up against the likes of Zaha and Arnautovic (best player i saw) who even if you think are bang average at times, possess so much quality one on one its unreal.
I left the stadium time after time thinking that these top quality fullbacks from the Championship just were so outclassed it was unbelievable the gulf in the levels.
I wish we had the money or the squad elsewhere that we didnt need to spend money strengthening every area and that a couple of £30 million fullbacks had been bought, my over riding feeling is that you can get away with a lot of things in the Premiership but average fullbacks is a problem when left one on one with these speedy or skillful types.

93pts...based on recent history a typical team should expect around 40pts in the PL
normally that's good enough for circa 15th
so decent chance they will stay up
