Aside from this game, we need clarification on what the rules are regarding VAR etc as no one will bet significant sums on inplay football again if you are playing Russian roulette when one of your backs/lays gets voided meaning a green turns into a huge red. If you have locked in a profit it should be legally/morally binding on any exchange regardless of any error unless the circumstances are extreme and this doesn't fit that criteria

Yep,the reason why ive not traded on a single Football market since this malfunction, the reason i have not traded any other Betfair market either is more to do with my missing £170 !

It's bonkers when you have to contact the CEO to get things done, but that's clearly the way things are at Betfair.

I've not yet emailed him, but have received an email from the escalations team in which they have apologised, admitted culpability (blaming a problem with their IT systems) but are still standing by their decision to take £800 from my account and not compensate me!

Obviously my next email is to Jackson.

I'm still £170 out of pocket but Kyle at "Customer!Services" admits it's the fault of their Scout not themselves.
Like a Mercedes garage saying its not our fault your wheels fell off after we did a service its our apprentice at fault he didnt tighten the wheelnuts.

Despite contacting Peter Jackson Betfair are not willing to refund me. I will lodge a dispute with IBAS (feeling kinda sad that its come to this, and also questioning where my future betting activity will be, need a company I can trust 100% and Betfair are no longer that )….. An opening in the market for a similar player with a higher ethical/moral standard waiting to be filled IMO

Futher evidence of how totally useless some of Betfair's staff are--

Everytime the first goal is disallowed (due to VAR) the "first goalscorer" market remains suspended
and everytime you have to contact them to get it reopened.

For many years I've had to ask for the "method of victory" market to be added for each major cup games.
I asked them for each quater final at the last World Cup and when the markets for the semi-finals came out they didn't
include the "method of victory" markets until I got in contact with them.

Last night Eric Garcia was named in the Man City starting 11 but was missing from the
"first goalscorer" market. Asked for him to be inclusded 55 minutes before KO but
they refused to do so.They couldn't give a **** that they were offering their customers an inaccurate market.

It's easy enough for them to blame what happened in the Leicester v Brighton game on problems with IT systems
because it's impossible for us to prove otherwise but it's pretty obvious that Betfair employ people
who are totally incapable (or unwilling) of providing a decent service.

I never got the money taken from my account returned  either.
They have no understanding of betting in running and can't comprehend why it is their fault!
Ive written the money off as no point taking it further for less than £200.
Will cost them £1000's in commissions and rake and plenty of bad PR for having me over, no danger.
They did offer me 30 euros in Poker account as compensation but i declined as it's so insulting it's actually funny.

Yes I declined an offer of a £50 free bet just on principle. I was willing to compromise but they don't seem to realise this type of disregard will cost them many times over !
