Can't stomach any more of it sorry, I don't mind losing money but not like that the other night I'm done with it

Raged time out after that the other night as well that's how bad it was

I can guess how its panned out as well

Slow passing, no urgency and quality from Fester, and Brighton sitting back with 10 men in their own half?

Well at least my 0-0 came to fruition.

And to answer your question Brighton did not have single attempt on goal in the second forty-five minutes Wink

Nah sat back and got horny over a 0-0 CrazyLaugh

I lost my s*** the other night, because there's so called 30 million + players on "show" that can't trap a bag of cement and 50 million pound strikers with the finishing of a sunday league player

Its awful, and people pay top dollar to go and watch that s***e as well Crazy

Rant over I hope Laugh

Betfair seemed to cancel a load of bets on over/under 0.5 goals and correct score markets, during the match. I re-traded my position for a profit on both. Markets got settled, and since then they've resettled the markets twice, gradually turning my profit into a loss. How on earth are we meant to keep track of what's going on, when this kind of rubbish keeps happening ?

Their useless doolittle

Actually glad I can observe only this week, not sitting there getting done up with either VAR or some absolute snooze fest Cry

My best guess is that they might have cancelled some bets in the belief that they happened during a VAR review.. and then realised hours after the game finished that it was a mistake, and reinstated them. All I can say is I never seem to get this problem on smarkets !

doolittle--When the penalty was awarded I had an unmatched bet laying 0-0.
When the market reopened that bet was taken but was then later voided by Betfair.

I had no idea at the time and went on to lay 0-0 again.

Incompetence is the price we pay for having a 2% commission rate.

I was on under 2.5 on this game and traded out for a £29 profit which was settled and in my account last night. At 11pm they took £50 out my account and was showing a £17 loss on game. They told me the game was incorrectly voided at the penalty... just making the rules up to suit themselves again
By:

There was absolutely no reason to void any bets. The markets were suspended on time and reopened when the penalty was missed.

If Betfair were made to pay for their blunders they'd enploy people who knew what they were doing.

Wtf is going on here?  This is much more than incompetence, it's arguably fraud.  I wasn't aware of any issues over suspensions during the game and greened up in the over/under 1.5 and 2.5 markets around half-time.  3 hours after the end of the game thee's a load of transactions and my account's suddenly £800 worse off - turning a decent win into a chunky loss.  Today their messaging service is not responding due to "high volumes of contact".

Next calls are the Gambling Commission and one or two journalists that I know

They turned my £111 profit at final whistle to a £63 loss 2 hours later, software cannot cope with VAR suspensions, farcical really and "Help desk" is non existent and email help etc just plain embarrassing.
By:
JML
When: 24 Jun 20 11:01
It had nothing to do with a VAR suspension.

They decided to void bets that were matched in the period after the penalty was missed
although the score (obviously) remained the same.

Betfair tell me they are "looking into it" I'm assuming they will rectify my loss in the +0.5 goal market !

Same here i had a £20 lay bet added to my account around 10:14 last night. i did lay it once as i had already backed at the start of match. had £190 taken from my account 2-3 hours after the match had been settled. been told by betfaircs on twitter to escalate to management escalations@betfair.com
By:
player21070
When: 24 Jun 20 12:38
0-0 was the bet i obviously did not know i had the liability and the amount was not taken from available funds. I would not have been able to bet the rest of the night without depositing.

what i dont get it is how they can admit the market was incorrectly voided but bets can be settled afterwards even though the customer cant see or know about them. So the customer is still betting in play not knowing they have a hidden liability.

The 'betfairhelpdesk' is anything but. About 6 months ago I had a series of bets oon a number of markets that won (which was correct) but a couple of hours later these were voided, resettled, voided etc. A gain of almost £400 was turned into a loss of £300 at least there times, before being reversed. This was not easy to follow on my account, and was only rectified several days later with ME douing the the work, explaining and sorting out.

The 'betfairhelpdesk' is embarrassing and truly incompetent. They don't have the authority to make even the tiniest or most obvious of decisions despite all the details being painstakingly explained to them. They are not even allowed to refer up to someone more senior in Betfair management who is able to make decisions!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has fcked my day up having £170 go "AWOL" with no speedy way of getting it rectified. How is anyone who has been affected expected to have the sanity to continue on todays "Betfair!" markets?
Very helpful this thread as at least i'm aware it's being investigated, so any news please post !

Obviously they've not even acknowledged my email !!

To think i was once a VIP and repped Betfair 4 years running in World Series Of Poker. Now, just get cheated and blanked to boot !!

Is it getting investigated though? I sent an email to 'higher management', not heard back and don't really expect to. It's the fact they just take the cash out your account without even an explanation that pisses me off. They said it was the fairest thing to do to void the market but surely if they void it you should at least get your stake back

Thanks player21070, I've just emailed them.  I'll post any info I get to this thread.  Would be great if others could do likewise.

At this stage my plan is to give it a day or so and then approach the Gambling Commission (I've heard good things about their Resolver service).  I've also spoken to a friend who's a journo on a national paper.  His initial response was mixed - I think it changes from day-to-day depending on how many stories they've got.  With a bit more meat on the story I suspect they might go for something along the lines "FTSE 100 Gambling Company steals thousands of pounds from punters".

Clearly Betfair's not usable for in-running sport any more.  Am I right in thinking that Smarkets is the way to go?  I need good liquidity and although theirs isn't brilliant it's way better than **** I think.

Please feel free to provide any advice!

My experiences with Betfair have been good over the years, I will give them a little time to resolve this before looking elsewhere..... Must admit tho so far not so good !
