They already paid out on Celtic winning the league (as it was a forgone conclusion) in February but a good
try none the less from the straw clutchers!

So what have Bet365 done? Paid out on Celtic and refunded everybody else?

"Two bookmakers have settled their ante-post SPFL markets differently after the Scottish divisions below the Ladbrokes Premiership were declared over following a vote from clubs.

Betway had been first to declare, paying out on "official standings" while bet365 have voided all bets in accordance with their rules which state "for settlement purposes in divisional betting the finishing positions of teams at the end of the scheduled programme of matches will determine places."

The firm state those rules were in place before the start of the season but as a "gesture of goodwill" bet365 have paid out on runaway leaders Dundee United and Cove Rangers."

Juventus fans don't want to be handed the title.

Liverpool fans don't want to be handed the title.

Barcelona fans don't want to be handed the title.

Bayern Munich fans don't want to be handed the title.

You spoke to all those fans from those clubs alky?

I've spoken to a few Celtic fans and they would rather play out the season as well but if it has to be stopped
now then ofc they should be awarded the title as should Liverpool. There's a reason 365 have already paid out on both
as title winners...

can't compare what a bookie is doing to what the league should do, bookies have a habit of paying out league winners early when they sail away knowing full well they'll be giving the money straight back. It keeps their gambling habits going and gives them good publicity.

A league cannot be partially settled, if Liverpool were to be awarded the title then you have to relegate teams as well, can't do that as that's far from certain who was going down, also cannot give it to them as it's against the rules, season was based on 38 games not 29, of course they were virtually certain of winning and I feel sorry for them if they don't win in, but I wouldn't congratulate them if they were given it either, because they haven't won it, there's only a a few points in it in those other leagues in Spain, Italy and Germany, that would be a scandal if the top team now was awarded it.

if it does finish and I hope it does it will be behind closed doors.

Not all James but most. Damned lockdown.

What the bookies say or do will have absolutely no impact on what the various league authorities do.
UEFA should make it clear what is acceptable. I think it unlikely time can be found to finish the league season although the cup should be completed no matter when. Not a fan of the behind closed doors suggestion.

who really cares in scotland ? Celtic had the league home and hosed, why do SEVCO embarrass themselves getting involved in it ? Something totally nothing to do with them, eg trophies. I'm just gutted we couldn't finish the season and have a chance of scottish cup and quadruple treble.

Didn't help when the pfa initially said they wouldn't play behind closed doors, didn't help when gerrard said he didnt want to play behind closed doors, didnt help when sevco ripped up their pitch. The only option was closed doors and they did not want it.

Only one club wanted to finish the season.

Don't believe any muck you hear coming from govan.

I emailed Bet365 as I have a bet in the hcp market. (currently a 4 way tie)
Rules says in the email that league stands regardless of how many games are played.
I also emailed Denise Coates for her take on it...… sadly no reply. But I wasn't hopeful on that score.
