What is the general opinion of how bookmakers and betting exchanges will deal with this?
Let's use English Premier League as an example. The market is still open and only Liverpool and Man City remain in the outright market. Lays on every other team have already been paid out. Would all those bets just be void?
Will Betfair just settle Liverpool as winners? Technically if the league is abandoned Man City haven't won the league.
So forget what the Premier League or UEFA announce, where do the betting companies stand with long term bets?
