Handball rule is being changed for next season, you'll be hearing all about the t-shirt line.

Offside offence

A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:
interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by a team-mate or
interfering with an opponent by:
preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or
challenging an opponent for the ball or
clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent or
making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball

he didn't do either of those things IMO. he got out of the way of the ball and he didn't stop de gea from getting the ball. WRONG CALL IMO

DID HE CLEARLY OBSTRUCT DE GEA's LINE OF VISION THO? I'd say no

i think if richarlison wasn't on the ground there the ball still goes in so imo it should have stood

That was an easy VAR overturn decision, De Gea can easily argue that without the player sat there he'd be able to react better to the deflection, straightforward overturn that one.

What's the point in red carding managers? Especially after the game has finished. Is it just so that pompous officials can make coaches jump through some more hoops, making themselves feel important? Sad

Football's rule-makers are to review the offside law in order to "foster the spirit of attacking play".
The decision was made at the annual general meeting of The International Football Association Board (Ifab).

On VAR, Infantino said that people "need to relax", adding that "there is only one league in the world today where this issue seems to be a big problem".

When a player scores I’m just waiting for him not to celebrate but to just stand there waiting for the goal to be be chalked off fans should also not bother cheering until v.a,r, has given the goal

what I don't understand is a goal was scored,so what were the reff/lino/man utd players/goalie doing wetting themselves getting all excited flag waving ,running around, etc as a goal was scored var takes over and it has foooook all to do with anyone at the ground

There is little doubt that the laws of the game are badly understood within the general population, including tv pundits.

The laws contain grey areas, with guidance given to officials as to how they should interpret the laws and navigate these grey areas.

For every VAR decision between now and the end of the season, the EPL should release a written explanation as to how they arrived at the decision they did.

Would create a lot of heated debate, but would at least be part of a badly needed process of education.
