Weird thing is my trade/my view on the game are completely separate. I'm trading City on the basis they're always overbet. They're being hammered now as I said.

IMO Real actually have a better chance without Hazard as it allows them to play an extra man in the middle that being said this Real team isnt the team it use to be. I think a score draw for City would be a good result.

I think this will be a good indicator of how good our PL actually is.  Spurs and Chelsea both hammered at home by Bayern, Liverpool beaten by an average Atletico Madrid and not even troubling their keeper.  I think City may struggle tonight.
Report JC1326 February 26, 2020 7:16 PM GMT
^ An all English final preceded by Liverpool's reserves beating Barcelona 4-0 wasn't good enough?

Nobody expected Chelsea to get past Bayern, and the 2-7 was a fluke. The PL has the two best teams in the world at the moment, but CL games are often a coin toss. Madrid and Barcelona are fairly tripe at the moment, but CL is very often a coin toss. So tonight'll indicate nothing.

So what is your view now as RM were utter sheet, lucky to get a goal and my big toe nail has more creativity than they showed last night? City didn't play that spectacularly well but still looked better in every department.
Report Rider February 27, 2020 11:28 AM GMT
i dont like ramos, he's done some horrendous things on the pitch, but i actually think taking a red last night was the correct decision, ok jesus still had the keeper to beat but, at 1-2 real have a slim chance of qualifying 9.4, at 1-3 the odds would be 20+

Report ffaith February 27, 2020 1:06 PM GMT
Really impressed with the ref.   He is no homer that is for sure.    I can name lots of EPL refs that would have bottled the big 3 decisions.  We need refs of that calibre in the prem.
Report lurka February 27, 2020 1:46 PM GMT
Thought Ramos was minimal contact, certainly not enough to make Jesus fall over but it impeded him and was a foul. Jesus played it well and was a red for the deliberate nature of it. Ramos can have no complaints (and didn't).

Sterling's was a clear dive. He was on his way down well before contact was made. Pushed his right foot into the ground and fell onto the defender's legs. He saw the tackle coming but didn't need to do that. It would have been a foul if he'd stayed up. Would prefer to see no pen and a booking for that. They will never stamp out diving if they let things like that go on VAR reviews. Same with that pen Napoli got against Liverpool, forward dives into the defender and easy enough to see on the video. https://twitter.com/IStewdog/status/1232802167058243586?s=20
Report lurka February 27, 2020 1:51 PM GMT
Also a lot of people saying if Ramos was a foul then Jesus' was too for the first goal. Both minimal contact but not as simple as that imo as they were different incidents but a good point all the same. Ramos' was definitely a foul, Jesus not as clear but could easily have gone the other way and I expected the VAR guys to rule it out with Real at home. No issue with it either way for me really.
