Derby last won a match on 23 Nov when their 1-0 home win against Preston completed a sequence of five successive home wins.
Their full home league record reads 5W 1D 4SD 2L, scoring 14 whilst conceding just 9.

Charlton won on Boxing Day, defeating Bristol City 3-2 at home.
It was there first win since 19 Oct when they beat Derby 3-0, also at home.

They won two of their opening three away fixtures, but have failed to win on the road since 31 Aug, drawing 2-2 at QPR on 21 Dec.
Their full away league record reads 2W 3SD 5L, scoring 15 whilst conceding 18.

Derby's last three outings have been a 0-1 loss to Millwall, 3-0 loss to Reading, and a 1-1 away to Wigan.
Charlton drew 2-2 at home to Hull, 2-2 away to QPR, before defeating Bristol City 3-2 last time out.

Two teams just hovering above the relegation zone is not the choice many would make for the last televised game of the year.
Charlton have at least been scoring regularly of late and they surely offer better value (4.5) than Desperate Derby at a miserly 1.95.

Probably not one to get too heavily involved with though, at least not until you have seen the early exchanges.

Derby are dreadful as well, hard to imagine they were contesting a playoff final back in May

They've got a team full of none triers, youngsters and average bench warmers like Hamer their goalkeeper

Amazing how quickly it can all change from 1 season to the next Crazy

Difficult game to predict btts is probably a fair call.

Well they went over 700 minutes without scoring a goal away from home, a 93rd minute deflection to rob Wigan the bottom team a win

I find it extremely pathetic a coaching set up can't even get their players to have a shot on target for 3 or 4 games much less score a goal

Wants sacking for that alone ffs

"give him time"

Yeah there's giving a man time if you can see what he's trying to do, the team is playing to a plan but can't execute it consistently because of lack of skill, but once he's had 2 windows to bring in his own talent then that's when you see improvement in results and an improvement in performances etc, but the base was already there to begin with, the dross would still have you sitting mid table and well out of trouble, the level would be something you can build on

With Cocu they can't even trouble the keeper, the performance levels are a joke and the football is turgid, slow build up rubbish that belongs in the Dutch league not the 2nd tier of English football. All this give them time b0llocks is just that utter b0llocks, a proper manager with his coaches will have a plan to begin with, a base will be there and they'll build from there

Bielsa at Leeds got a bunch of mid table dross disciplined, coached and off and running straight away, they were soon good at what he was asking them to do, had a plan and stuck and was charismatic enough for the lads to buy into it immediately. Cocu on the other hand is dull as dish water.

Surely unders the value bet with these two sides form, and a potentially 'not to lose' approach from both.

leeds got lucky , hired one of world most exp and best coaches

ability to turn a side who prev year went alm 3 months without a win , almost same players which was utterly remarkable

same with santos at wolves

need a top coach to get out of championship would say its toughest league in Europ e

as for derby Charlton , small bet one card each both halfs at 7s

Didn't see this thread but copied from Dragon's thread my opinion...

You know what lads? I think a lay of Derby represents good value tonight. Derby have a -10 goal difference and the reason for this is they just do not score goals of late. Charlton, on the other hand, are all over the place, but they do score goals and have a -1 deficit, meaning they give as good as they get. At 4.6 Charlton don't look a terrible price, but at odds on, Derby do look a good lay for me because I do expect Charlton to score at least one tonight.

couldn't watch or have a play in this game , both poor sides desperate for points

may manifest itself in yellow cards

Have to agree but I'd probably side with going with the back at 4.6 with looking to trade/cash out with Charlton scoring first

Question is, do they close ranks now, or still attack?

Still odds on to win it.

How can anybody see Charlton winning this game, it looks to me as so Charlton only have 10 men, because its Derby who look more likely to get a 2nd currently and if I was Lee Bowyer, I be giving the Charlton players a right kick up the rear.

Charlton do not seem to have any redeeming feature- they lack fitness, intelligence and ability. How these players playing professional football at this level (or any level for that matter)is beyond me.

They were simply dreadful, they only woke up, when the referee unbelievably gifted them a penalty, how the commentators could say it was a stonewall penalty was even more ridiculous.
