Happy Sunday all. Here's my thoughts on today's matches...
Leicester 2.4 Wolves 3.55 Draw 3.3
I'm expecting this to be a fairly even contest in terms of chances created by both teams. I can see Leceister having a lot of the ball but getting caught out on the counter attack. Wolves have already played some competitive football this season so should be a bit sharper, which will help in the final third. If Morgan plays in defence he could be severely exposed and Soyuncu is inexperienced at this level so Leicester will be vulnerable at the back.
Recommended bet: Lay leicester
Newcastle 4.4 Arsenal 2.0 Draw 3.7
Until the Gunner's new signings bed in they are on paper weaker than last season. Kolasinac, Tierney, Bellerin and Holding are all currently unavailable, and Lacazette has an ankle injury so may not play. For this reason I think evens is too short bearing in mind they lost more away games than they won last season. Newcastle are an unknown quantity under Bruce and the home atmosphere could be quite toxic which means the sensible play would be not to get involved. Their problem this season is going to be scoring goals but couple this with being less defensively sound and that could be a recipe for disaster. However I still think Arsenal are slightly underpriced.
Recommended bet: Lay Arsenal
Man Utd 2.24 Chelsea 3.8 Draw 3.4
Really looking forward to this game. Chelsea have a few useful players out such as Loftus Cheek, Kante and Hudson Odoi but I still think they will give a good account of themselves. Lampard's Derby side dominated the league cup match at Old Trafford and we should see the same again now he has a higher calibre players at his disposal. Man Utd will still pose a goal threat on the break and from set pieces however I think they will struggle this season without a big man up front, especially against teams who keep the ball well. Rather than backing Chelsea, laying United is probably the best play here to cover the draw.
